This mod aims to bring the definitive update to the good and old San Andreas's weapons, it consists basically on fixes and improvements, such as improved 3d parts, upscaled and minor edits on textures and icons, position fixes, uvmapping, scale and overall design.

(Yeah, i'm too lazy to show the reflections on video).

Also, don't worry about being too HQ, they're still atmospheric to the game and not far from the original size of the vanilla weapons.

(They come with the original 3d muzzleflash model attached to them, you can opt to force the effect from effectsPC with this mod:)

Desert eagle still looks ugly as sh*t. They didn't even bothered to remodel it for SA after it was left unused in VC.

I remember a while ago you released a mod that added envmaps to vanilla weapons, but sniper rifle was bugged in that pack and caused crashes. Have you fixed it since?

The definitive weapon mod. Though I agree that R* did a poor job with the deagle (and probably every other weapon) when Manhunt has better models and are even used in the cutscenes.

 

Does the Sawnoff still work with that weapon animation mod by Junior?

Yes it does still work as usual, if he releases the promised rework on that mod, i may try to adapt these weapons to it aswell.

 

And about the deagle, i guess everybody hates it, just like me, it's just too much of a rushed model, but to keep things simmilar to vanilla, i opted to keep it like that, but i'll see if i can shape the mh2 deagle model on it, it's kinda simmilar in style, so, if it turns out any good, i'll update it.

That'd be much appreciated, it's the only gun in the game I just wished they kept the python from VC for instead (even the weirdly UV mapped sniper is okay in comparison).

I've adapted the mh2 deagle to fit the vanilla weapon style, turned out quite good tbh, also, i'm updating the colt 45, this one changes a bit on the colors, but if you take a look at the original, it looks retarded, they just uvmapped an actual image, so, the lighting of the real weapon, makes some parts black, instead of silver, since I'm adding reflections, these must be toned down

I really like the Desert Eagle and M4 that are in the first version of this mod, I think you should keep them or add them as optional models if you prefer the MH2 weapons more:). Also, how about doing a VC version using the (better) VC PS2 weapon models as a base?

 

P.S: Wasn't MH2 banned?

That m4 is based on the vc ps2 version, but upgraded on some parts, and yeah, i may make two downloads, the originals, with only reflections and fixes, and the other version that aims to improve them without losing the style too much.

 

Rockstar reused those models in almost every game since gta iii, so i may adapt them aswell, i have every 3d era weapon (or unused models) on that style, so yeah, someday, maybe there will be the gta iii, and vc version, and obviously, these are part of gta underground.

Did you use the LCS texture for the pistol, by any chance? If not, LCS has a cutscene model with a 128x128 texture iirc (no, it's not a glock). Not exactly the same as in III but might be helpful

I have used parts of it, but i used most of the original texture but edited it, and then upscaled it, to make it look more accurate to the color scheme of the former

This is fantastic! The resizing of the weapon models makes a huge difference, and the reflections are a lovely touch. This is how the weapons should have always been!

I think if someone can rig the lcs gun from mobile release texture it would be better i think

I'm working on that, for some weapons, but i don't want to go too far away from the original feel, just an overall improvement.

Restored texture for colt45 and silenced plus 3d model improvements

Cuntgun and sniper texture improvements

Goggles improvements on the inner light of the lens

Improvements on brassknuckles and on knifecur

Minor texture improvements on molotov, jetpack

Fixed parachute animation's (the model comes with skeleton but not rigged)

Nice, but just one suggestion: I wished you used VC PS2 weapons as a base for all weapons, like you did once with the old EnvMap for Weapons + Fixes mod. But there's no need to do it now, you can take all of the rest you want from this mod.:)

Changelog:

Parachute backpack now has a more complete backpack look

The desert eagle model is finally on the mod, (i had forgotten it before)

All weapons have a better reflection map now

Tec 9, shotgun and flame holes are now on model instead of texture

Bomb remote control texture got optimized

Added mip maps

All icons downscaled to 128x128 (They're smoother even in hd monitors)

New 3d muzzleflash texture

New uv maps for several weapons

Minor fixes
