I opened up a ticket over a week ago and still haven't had a meaningful response. The issue is, of course, related to the penthouse I was supposed to get for linking my Twitch Prime account to my social club account. Did that on July 1st. Not enough cash to buy ingame, so can't do the reimbursement option

It's driving me nuts. That's what I do for a living. I'd get fired for not responding with something meaningful within 24 hours

Absolute crap aren’t they? I sent a ticket in to tell them about the fact that lock-on no longer works in full auto aim lobbies when trying to aim at Mark II riders. They just play dumb and repeatedly ask for a video before they can do anything. 

 

I think it is deliberate, them knowing just what a hassle it will be to actually be recording in-game when this happens, and then to prepare and upload a video.

 

Their other suggestion to this broken game feature is to send them feedback / suggestions.

 

I feel sorry for the people who work at the support place. At the end of it all, they will likely just be kids forced to stick to a script for not much money.

 

Frustrating though.

They probably just want to see how much money you have so they can have a reason to possibly wipe your cash and/or ban you.

Never had a problem with them. They asked me for video once about a weird weapons bug I had. They fixed it after.

I just want them to respond. At all. I opened the ticket on the 28th. The dashboard says it's still open, at least. It won't actually let me view the ticket. Just spins on the load screen

my friend had the same issue and they told him to wait until he could start paying for the prime thing in order for it to work. that’s so stupid

I've had prime for many years, so that's not the issue. I think they are overwhelmed, and don't really care about an individual

wow.. I have had nothing but success with them. Once i got past some techs who were less than enthusiastic to help me, I had nothing but success. Even wrote a thank you note, and got a response. This was within the last week

I put in a ticket over 2 weeks ago, the idiots never posted back. But then most of the time their support people are more stupid than picking a random person off the street. Most I doubt even know what gta is much less how to play it. Out of the many tickets ONLY ONE PERSON actually had brains and fixed the issue within minutes. The rest of the morons want videos on what can be proven by a screen shot.

guess i have been lucky, the last couple times i have contacted support my issue have been solved within 24 hours, which is a nice change from 2-3 weeks it used to take back in the day.

 

 

with that said, op just open a new ticket

So I ended up having to open a new ticket, selected a chat ticket, and my issue was resolved. This is rather silly, but I guess that's what ya gotta do with a company that in the end doesn't need my business. They have alot of others paying them money

chat ticket.., really.., I choose the other option so they have all the time in the world..,  under categories like purchase and activation, in which you'd think they d care alot more for.., and still nothing..,

guess I'll have to get around there and try to get my dues..,

Thanks for the headsup, started a chat ticket now aswell (via purchase problem -> event problem) currently waiting for an 'agent', fingers crossed this person will actually know how to read.

EDIT:
So my ticket covered my Armored Paragon R that went missing, how i was wrongly awarded 2.35mil for a missing Thrax, and why i lost my poster im still pretty damn sure i bought in the second week.

First responses
- "I would like to let you know that the Thank You gifts is delayed and you should be receiving them in 72 hours."
- "I've reviewed your account and I don't see that you owned the Paragon R Armored earlier. As such, we're unable to help you with this one."
After telling him i most definitely should have the car since i have the award for it but no car
- "Please share a screenshot of your awards" (so shared a screenshot)
- "Thanks for your patience, I've gifted you the Paragon R Armored. Can you relogin to GTA Online and if you received it?"
After checking ingame and NOT having the car in any of my garages
- "Sorry to hear this, I would like to let you know that we will investigate this thoroughly and get back to you. As such, I would move this chat to an email and respond to you once the chat ends."
After agreeing with that and asking about the money in shouldn't have gotten:
- "That's fine, you can keep the GTA$ since it has been gifted to you."

So back to the waiting game i guess, at least now i feel a LOT more confident that im eventually getting the car back, and sorta neat i can keep the money i guess.

glad to hear most of your problems where solved.., i hope my paragon will get resolved soon.., i payed alot for the performance and visuals on that thing.., as well as my rebates and etc..,

Honestly 75% of why i want it back is the yeti camo livery 😛 doubt i'll use it very often as 2 rockets are enough to destroy it (though the properly armored windows are a nice touch, they tank 5 heavy sniper rounds before breaking)

Did you try make a chat support ticket yet for your issues? if not consider this another reason to try :)

the true hard carry of most of R*'s good will when it comes to their hiccups..,

got my money, and my paragon will eventually be solved..,

A] There was some severe bugs with the penthouse + penthouse garage on day1:

- Pass out drunk in penthouse, wake up in bed with camera stuck sideways

(this apparently also worked as a way to dupe cars)

It got patched pretty quickly, but they never solved this issue for the players (like myself) that just happend to have gotten this, without any intention (or know-how) of duping.
Considering that i had to show R* support a screenshot of my casino awards to prove i really should have the car means that it really truly vanished completely, the support guy told me i never had the car, but i totally did, and once i showed him my awards he agreed something was very wrong. (and then when he gave me a new one but it wasnt anywhere to be found he escalated it as internal ticket)

B] There was a bug with the insurance of the podium car & the armored paragon for the first 2 days, they would LOOK insured (when inside los santos customs or when looking inside garage) but actually have no insurance, if it got destroyed you lost it. This was acknowledged a LOT better then the above, and a lot of people got 2.35mil for losing their won Thrax that way (strangely enough even a bunch of people who lost their armored paragon got this money, because apparently R* support just stopped reading tickets at some point)

Damn that's infuriating. I remember back in the day about two months after GTAOnline launched on the PS3 I lost my legit level 100 character at the time (saving issues and corruption were still the big thing back then), my case is nothing compared to yours. I'd be fuming if something I've poured countless hours into is just gone one day "POOF". You'd think Rockstar would have at least a backup on site (even if it means they can't restore businesses & stats but just get your character, vehicles and money + RP back) but I guess that's too much. 

 

Tho as much as I hate to tell you, them blaming everything else (your console, your provider, your platform etc) has been a go to of theirs for the past couple of years. They know the screw-up is on their end but they don't want to admit to it as it's work for them, they just want players to give up and start again overwriting any attempts to possibly recover the corrupted character (if there is even a way). If you can get past Rockstars bullsh*t and get a decent support rep and they fix your issue, be highly happy & lucky. 

 

We humans aren't really motivated to start up and put progress in again when things just go POOF after we've put countless hours and progress in giving up time & other activities for this and the only way of getting back to where you left off is too grind the next couple of years off. That's a surefire way to get people to never touch your product again.

 

Trust me, I'm sure most of us fear about data corruption and loss when it comes to GTAOnline. This is the only Online game I know of where corruptions still can happen and the devs are like "Well, on your own now".

pretty much..,

there is alot wrong with the game..,

and support pretty much deals with the brunt of our frustrations..,

 

I luckily didn't have to deal with such bugs and issues..,

only the paragon was the real issue..,

I only made support tickets before to report people..,

and to cover my back from whatever was dropped on me..,

or back in the billionaire days of PS3.., with the multibillion bounties..,

 

I got my paragon back today..,

unfortunately.., not modified as it was before..,

 

I'll be lucky again if they send any other GTA$ my way..,

 

but then again it was justified, from the twitch promos..,

and I got the 1.25m original twitch gta$..,

for a total of 4.5m..,

(The rest of it came from the penthouse rebates)

 

still no sign of liveries or casino 1st week rewards..,

but they'll come..,

 

like said.., support truly hard carries at trying to repair what good will they do have..,

 

least hoping with what they learn, when GTAO gets to GTAVI

it'll be less, or not a buggy mess..,

(if its stable, we can pretty much focus on whether to be happy or mad if gtavi/o turns out to be another cash grab.., or is at/closer to the happy middle)

 

edit: in the end though.., I can't hate the small position workers(lower on the hierarchy devs) and support.., but sure will be unhappy with the heads of r* if they don't seriously support the game, and make the gameplay and time put in more than worthy..,(for the end of GTAV/O, and GTAVI/O) which Is why I was overly thankful, for their patience with the uptick of tickets from the huge mistakes that came with the casino..,

must be hell.., and I'm sure at least one person must of been quite unhappy and reactive with them..
