CLEO prevents GTA SA from launching

I'm using a factory-made v1.0 CD of GTA SA on Windows 10. I install the game and it launches perfectly. Then I install CLEO, and the game simply doesn't start anymore. When I open "gta_sa.exe," it briefly appears in Task Manager, then disappears. What am I doing wrong?
