squeezx
Some of the thing I’d like to see are more detailed car models and better lighting, better cinematic camera effects, weather effects and draw distance. I’ve posted some photos of examples from what I hope GTA 6 can deliver. These are from need for speed. R3CON and GTK0HLK
MrQuiche
I have a problem with the GTA Franchise, i don't really know what i want to be changed or added until it's changed or added in the next game. cremefraiche, marcolinomarcol, proudnoob3 and 8 others
Minalessa
That depends, would the new game melt 9th gen consoles while being run @30FPS? But seriously though, vanilla ARMA 3 lighting is good enough for me, once R* reached that level of visual clarity it should focus adding more content and increasing mod support. Let the ENB guys run wild with their additional lighting flair by themselves. KingAJ032304
MrQuiche
Completly forgot but they added PBR (Physically-Based-Rendering) in RDR2 which means that if they reused this in GTA VI, we can get better looking cars thanks to the new real-life like materials. Eternal Moonshine
PBR materials will make a huge difference. I think we might see a light use of raytracing restricted to some surfaces only. Sub surface scattering will also be a thing in GTA VI. PBR and Subsurface scattering are already present in RDR2 so it makes sense that they will be included in VI. Raytracing is just a guess but PS5 and Scarlett will support it so R* might take advantage of that as well R3CON

XXVIII
I would strongly posit that the presentation and visual fidelity of this installment will be so much of a spectacle that you would be able to sample any video, or photograph via Google Images of real life, and there would be virtually zero juxtapositions that you could make of that image against the graphical horsepower of the experience. Going by the guise of such an ambitious notion that the visual prowess of this experience will replicate reality. With Red Dead: Redemption II, as I have observed, a great, respectable evolution of the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine has come, one of which will only be furthered and tailored accordingly for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett and personal computer. Volumetric lighting, ambient occlusion and tessellation will surely all be at there best, unlocking a whole new layer of realism for in-game photography. When viewing an asset, depending upon the lighting and perspective, there will be some type of nuance that really pops from a particular angle, whether it be prominent or subtle. This could perhaps be a derelict plate with remnants of cookie crumbs or other foodstuffs, with ants converging on the morsels before making haste, or trails of debris lining the floor mat of your used vehicle (that, maybe you purchased from a low-end vehicle dealership). The graphics of Grand Theft Auto: VI will be out to get your eye and tears like never before and the deeper that you fall into this whiplash of a reality. In fact..., you are going to witness Rockstar Games at their best, in part with the graphics assault. They will subdue you with the presentation, packaged as the emblem and then all of the epic will start colliding with your own reality at once. Trails and bursts of epic. You will be blindsided and your concentration history. The graphics are indeed just one component of this accolade, but rest assured that you will be assembling at retailers globally and we will all be the Midnight Club for the Day One strike. I am ready. Uncoupledspy, KingAJ032304, MrQuiche and 2 others

Lotte
I'm expecting that it's still going to use vehicles and assets from GTA V, if it's set in the 80s and if the theory that a lot of the cooler "older" cars from the last few updates are actually stuff that's meant to go into the next game is true then that means everything's going to use the same bones, fundamentally. i dont think they really need to redo any of this stuff, just to tweak how the gamefeel is but the rendering and lighting and stuff is probably going to get improved a lot, and it's probably not going to be a GTA IV to GTA V level makeover but it'll probably be fancy enough to be noticeable

XXVIII
I think that a Grand Theft Auto: VI virtual reality experience would really be outside the lines and an out of body experience. Respective to the first-person driving mode, it would beautifully and authentically mimic that of real life, especially with the incorporation of turn signals, 900-degree steering and airbags to deter mild to potentially fatal injuries; the two former of which being accompanied by their respective ISO/headlamps illuminating on the instrument panel. marcolinomarcol
As long as there's a sh*t ton of things to do, cars, minigames, planes, helis, side missions, explorable interiors and vast outdoor areas... to me it could just have the same graphics gta sa had. T-ru
R* Always provide a great, memorizing graphics and weathers in gta games. According with the promises from ps5 and xbox the graphics of gta 6 should be head blowing, especially on the PC version. There is only one thing that worries me, this's the draw distance, in gta V, gta IV even in SA the draw distance doesn't fit well in the scene, in IV it's terrible, in V is bad too, when you fly with a fast jet aircraft you can see popping hd polygons of the vegetation and of some other textures. I hope that this will be improved/fixed in 6!
XXVIII
The graphics and visual fidelity will definitely hold a different meaning in the key of Grand Theft Auto: VI, and for how it plays out, it could be a cold play or a rage-stricken death trap. Nothing will be shielded from your eyesight because real life always finds a way to push a good aura out of the way, and spotlight bad or evil lingering around the trigger. Grand Theft Auto: VI will be every bit obliged to psychoanalyze realistic mediums and media as they bleed into a worsening toxicity, all of whom are being raped by a schizophrenic plague that continues to feed them their profits. Of how prepubescent girls’ interpretive dance repertoires are (already) being monetized and weaponized by the leeches that lurk behind keyboards and the ‘Daddy’s’ of the adult entertainment industry. Herein, you see just two facets of real life that the public will have haunting them, whether that be via the sound waves wafting out of your vehicle, or the words drifting between passerby’s. Rockstar Games wants to have the Psycho Strings firing on all VI cylinders, ‘coz you ain’t safe nowhere. Speaking of firing... you could very well engulf a nightmare, if ever one of your lollygagging moments with a Snub nose revolver is the moment that a precious child’s legacy was kissed goodbye with your regret. KEEEAHHH, ting-tada-ting! The shell casing falls to the earth. One shot, DOA; no do-overs. You profess your apologies for your transgressions and seek out a confessional church. Guess what? ‘*uck you!’, says Rockstar Games. This *hit is real life, instead of a video game. The presentation, everything. Must have had the Illuminati help us out, because we ain’t got no words to describe what you’re gonna see! Gimme your car, keys, driver’s license, wallet, primary, secondary and/or tertiary weapon, and let the bars front your living space for a while. Then maybe you’ll wise up and not have to face the wrath of VI’s version of BadSport again!’ The visibility of profanity was strictly for demonstrative and realism purposes, only. NYC PATROL
With SSDs official for XB2 and PS5, a real good cpu and gpu, we can only hope 6 is exclusive to next gen to take full advantage. It's going to be something else. Literally everything you can think of in GTAs past could see a sizable improvement. From physics to lighting to animation and environmental/interior detail, the sky is the limit with how next gen sounds. Came across this video the other day and just started imagining how crazy things could get and just gives us a tiny idea at what a next gen gta could be. Forget the fact most of the saturation is off. Mainly notice the puddle reflections, car reflections, draw distance, more trees, the amount of objects loaded in on screen. All that and then some could/should be the norm next gen. It's really hard though to even fathom how much better it'll look than today's best looking games. Lotte
Actually if the game IS set in the 80s it'd be cool if the colour grading and such felt like old photographs? like not in a "there's a film grain filter" kind of way, more like... ...the way older cameras interpret the light isn't really accurate but the way that they do projects such a mood onto the scene that you wouldn't necessarily get if you were to use a modern camera, or even a different old camera, and it'd be cool to see the game play around with that. Maybe have the interpretation shift based on the time of day and/or what kind of mission you're in, and have it shift between moods in a way that a player won't notice unless they're actively looking out for it I think if there's a definite way the graphics are going to be it's going to be different in a way that's impossible for people to replicate with graphics mods in GTA IV or V NightmanCometh96 and Eternal Moonshine
