Have the odds changed or is it just bad luck?

When the DLC first dropped, I was making bank on everything from slots to blackjack. Now it seems ever since Rockstar have patched the horse race glitch I can't win ANYTHING. Not a single thing.

 

If I have 20 in blackjack, the dealer automatically gets 21. 

 

If I pump 200k into the slots, I barely get 20k back. 

 

If I put 50k on red, it's always black. 

 

Am I just having bad luck, or is this something that other's are experiencing?

You can't judge the odds based on tens of attempts. Not even hundreds. That's the 'luck' part of it. I'm quite sure the odds didn't change, why would they ?

The odds didn't change, nothing changed apart from R* trying patch glitches.

It's all about being lucky, keep in mind every time you restart your game, the odds change.

R* introduced this new random generator that's more complex and more random than the old random generator.

The old random generator had a possibility that one of the numbers may show up more often than usual, this new random generator was designed to eliminate this possibility.

You scream foul when you lose..I don't hear many people talkin about how they win. It's all bullsh*t. Just a few days ago I went from my usual 50k in chips to 400 grand. Then lost it all in 6 hands. Dealer beat me with 21 twice in a row! With 4 cards each time to get 21.. And then I went bust 4 times in a row... 22, 24, blah and blah. But yeah when I see the dealer get 21 twice in a row with 4 cards each time. It's a good reminder it's just a game

 

So TECHNICALLY it's all possible.

yeah I don't understand why they did this seems like they rushed it because always betting on horse 1 was very profitable now if you always bet horse one you most likely loose. The odd's on it just don't feel correct at all now the horse races just seem off. I did see that when it first released horse 4 actually won less than horse 5 but now as a trade off for fixing it the odd's seem broken to where a higher odd's horse 3 is more likely to win on 13/1 than 7/1 if horse 1 and 2 both have 1/5 odd's. 

No matter what R* do though at the end of the day there will always be a way to beat the system. There is no perfect system here for R* because when the odds are displayed even if they are wrong gives you an indication of the horse that is more likely to even with horse 1 being broken.

Are the calculations client-side? If they are server-side there's no way of telling if R* isn't screwing around with numbers. I know how math works, there's no telling by a sample that's not measured in tens of thousands, but past those two weeks the dealers seem to be pulling out the most convenient cards. I'm lucky if I end up with the same amount of chips I started with.

Either i suck horribly,  or just have bad luck,  just now the dealer had 5 blackjacks in a row and when i would get an 18 she'd get a 20 or 21, or i would bust,whatever the f*ck it is its pissing me off to no end

Yes, it's client side.

Have not noticed, but haven't been playing as much.  Have everything I want on Character 1. The key is recognizing when the table is hot or cold.  When hot, I have cleared a million in an hour.  I give them 5 straight hands of losing, and call that a cold table and walk.

Those who say the odds hasn't changed are either blind or lying. It's clear that the horse track winning rates are different from the first week.

 

All this does it makes people turn away from the casino. I don't want to bet on horses or black jack if I know the game is actively trying to make me loose. I know "the house always wins", but this is just ridiculous.

It’s just luck.

 

First week of the casino being open I made a killing on blackjack and 3 card, cashing out about $500k and having well over a million in chils.

 

The second week I lost all my chips in about an hour, plus hundreds of thousands of dollars that I had pumped into the casino.

 

Last weekend I injected $50k into the casino and turned it into about 200k. Yesterday I turned that 200k into 2 million in less than a couple hours and pulled out half. Checked my stats and I have $2.3m in money won from betting which does not count the 1m chips I still have.

 

I’ve found that varying your bets is a good strategy. Betting max is a sure fire way to lose all your money, that’s how I lost all of it to begin with. Walking up to roulette and betting it all on a single color is dumb and hardly ever works.
