San Andreas v1.0 won't run with Silent's ASI Loader, CLEO, or widescreen fix

I have a GTA SA v1.0 physical CD. When I install it, it launches and runs perfectly. I only try to make one very simple change: to play it in 1366x768, so I follow the instructions on this video, but it doesn't work. In fact, even simply installing CLEO or Silent's ASI loader causes the game not to launch. What happens in all cases is that whenever I start the game, "gta_sa.exe" shows up on Task Manager, and reports using memory, but then disappears after it hits around 15MB, and the game never opens. What am I doing wrong?

You did not say whether the game Runs without the Mods.

• Which Version of the Game do you have?

1.       Console. (which one)

2.       PC DVD v1 (you are playing with the DVD in the Drive?)

3.       PC DVD v2 (you are playing with the DVD in the Drive?)

4.       STEAM Registered Down Load v3 [Must be connected to the internet]

5.       Mobile (Android or iOS)

6.       Stolen, (Warez, Torrent, Pirated), Game: No fixes to be found here, too many reasons not to work. Ask at the Source Site.
