Character won't load

Whenever I try to play GTA online it won't load my first character but it will load the second one it's like stuck in the clouds I can hear explosions and see the screen move and nothing happens idk what to do (im on Xbox)

From singleplayer:
1] Open menu
2] Go to the Online section of the menu
3] Click the Choose character option

4] ...? (load character selection, pick your preferred character, continue to online)

5] Profit

I've had this happen a few times over the last 2 days (xbox 1). This problem actually occured AFTER following these exact steps. I was only able to get it to load my preferred character after closing the app and restarting a few times.

Yup still nothing. I also cleared the data. It just keep doing the same thing. Loading in the clouds. But wen I switch bck to my second character,that’s when I can get into gta online. But I need my main character to do the same.

that was a joke. honestly though i've had the same issues. i just kept trying over and over until it works. i implore you do the same. good luck

What by just turning it off n back on??

Its related to R* cloud services and the issues with not being able to save the game. Its happening on all platforms to varying degrees. 

 

Not much you can do other that keep trying to load the game.

Yah this is happening to me right now I can play on character 2 but if I try loading into character 1 it puts me in an infinite cloud screen. Do I have to wait a month like other people or is the forcing thing working for you guys?

I also contacted rockstar but there useless in helping they just tell me to check my internet when that’s not the problem.

What's your spawn location on the character 1?

I fixed it with the change appearance glitch it was the outfit.

Can you link the change appearance glitch you are referring to? I'm having the exact same issue.
