CleanMent1
It's 30 real life hours???? Why do I will fly with a plane for 30 hours? It's boring to fly for 1 hour, imagine for 30 hours! Ok, if it's 30 real hours, so if I let my PC running GTA SA with CJ inside a plane or chopper, the game will count this as Flying Time? Or I need to get high with the chopper and let it stopped in the air to count? I let CJ in a stopped plane for 5 game hours and nothing happens to the rank.. same to chopper. Then I tryied let CJ in chopper holding W. CJ died because it crossed las venturas but before I fly with a plane to get to SF to get Maverick, so i think it's not counting.. That makes me think.. It's based on the flying travelled distance? Thanks for answering me!! DOUGL4S1
From what I could gather, the game tracks flight time, from when the aircraft leaves the ground to when it touches it again. If it makes you feel any better, this stat is kinda glitchy and it tracks time faster than real-life. d.nivatkar gave a pretty good tip of using Brown Thunder for it, this way you're doing something and getting paid. lil weasel
What is 30 Hours? Steal the Dodo and fly for 24 - 30 minutes, or the Shamel for 12 -15 Mins, or the Maverick 48 minutes to an hour and you get the "Pilots License" (which is nothing more than a Gate Pass to all the airfields), you still have to do the Flying School Test at the Verdant Aerodrome to move on in the game. I remember in the early days a player might steal the plane to fly out to sea, then have lunch. Come back to find the map is glitched (and maybe something else too) As far as the games arbitrary "titling" of flying rank, I ignore it. I am trying to complete a master save, but that time to take the Ace Rank (not glitched) is too much for me. I heard about this map glitches, I think that glitches the gang territories, am I right?
