Which part of this feels like a resort?

NULL AND VOID

Nothing in this casino really brings me to that relaxing place.

Every now and then I'll go to the edge of the infinity pool and hang for a minute or two, but for the most part nobody hangs out on the rooftop. Are there special features they may add in the future? Special animations? What COULD they do to make this feel like more of a vacation spot? Everyone always talked about how they would pull up to the casino..and brag about what they would wear. I didn't see ANY of this. When I watch people... they fly into the casino at 133mph and run into the building like they are on fire... Doesn't seem very relaxing. 99% are running for their lives! It's hilarious.

Do you feel the 'resort' vibe?

None at all.

I’ve already put my spawn point back to my Lombank Office. Not interested in their rigged games that just get rigged even further once players figure out how to increase their wins.

Once I finish the casino missions with my 2nd character and drag it through 50 of those repetitive assed phone call jobs it will become just another “that was fun for two weeks” item.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resort

Quote

A resort (North American English) is a self-contained commercial establishment that tries to provide most of a vacationer's wants, such as food, drink, lodging, sports, entertainment, and shopping, on the premises. The term resort may be used for a hotel property that provides an array of amenities, typically including entertainment and recreational activities.

So I'd say the terrace (assuming a friendly session), penthouses, the store, bars, games, arcade, etc.

There is nothing relaxing about random, public sessions of course.

The Diamond  casino and resort feels like a high end apartment with a clubhouse which only provide gambling activity...

The random phone call jobs are quite funny with normal payout, however u will still bored after doing them so many times. The missions often start or end in the exit of escort, making them impossible to finish in a public room......

Gambling part....not all gta players love gambling, some players have region issues, We should not ranking the dlc with this part so heavy. Anyway I am not a gambler but I am alright with it.

The penthouse has the most reasonable interior design among all buyable properties. It gives the missing features of high end apartment like movie room and spa, a roof garden.....it would be perfect  if I can host a heist or give a import order in the office. I dun mind to upgrade my high end apartments into penthouse...if I have a option.

I hope r* give more content of course.

As with Biker Contract missions* you can do them in Invite/Friend sessions, so why cause yourself aggro? They're fun little old-fashioned contact missions with plenty of variety, but Rockstar have once again hidden the most enjoyable part of this DLC behind an obscure launch system that means most players won't even find them unless Ms. Baker gives them a call.

Maybe thats just a part they didnt add yet, opposite to the off track betting?

Good thread.

The other day I was wondering pretty much the exact same thing.  I was walking about in the casino trying to find something relaxing.  (I had bought the penthouse with every amenity sans the bar.)  I walked into my spa to find the tiny hottub and a barber.  Since I haven’t changed my hairstyle or beard since 2013 there’s really no need for the barber and the hottub is ridiculously small and useless.

I kept walking around and became extremely disappointed to realize that was pretty much the extent of the “spa”

This feels a lot more like typical money grab casino than a resort, imo.  I do like how they comp certain drinks and you get a visitor bonus every day but other than that, there’s not much pampering or feel-good services that make you feel good about going bankrupt off table games.  I do like the rooftop terrace but it feels dead up there.  There needs to have more NPCs or something to make it more lively.

That's a photo I took on the first day of the DLC, after playing for hours. I thought it was pretty relaxing.

The Terrace needed an invisible/glass barrier over the top, GTA IV style pool tables that people could play, air hockey as well, they could have added a working Bowling Alley with three lanes to the inside as well through one of the unused sets of doors and the Terrace bar needed to be open.

I would have liked a Fight Club as well where players could bet on NPC fights or players could put up bet against each other and fight that way.

i have a new character with nothing but a 2-car garage a couple blocks away who likes to ride his BMX bike over, and do some low-stakes poker and slots, and chill out in the Inside Track room.    there were at least a half-dozen other players hanging out in there last night.   my big guy mainly relaxes by running Headhunter and dropping fire bombs on the parking lot--and the terrace, of course--in his Akula, although i'm happy to finally have a use for that Sharp Polar Suit i never used much since it just made me a glowing target on the streets.

also, i did enjoy the Loneliest Robot movie last night while i was eating my dinner.    pretty funny.

I love all of those ideas.

It just grinds my gears that we literally have working Pool Tables, Air Hockey Tables, Bowling Alleys etc in GTA VI and yet we don't get them on V when it works on the same game engine and could be just ported over.

The Roof top/Whole Casino lot needs some kind of Safety dome like the Yacht with it's protection on.

New walk style what has us hold a beer in our hand. Go look up TES online Drunk personality for an example.

add Joints to the snack selection.

I would say they are far from being "impossible" do in a public room, ive had very good luck with the handful of ones I done in public, not once has another player tried to stop me.  There are few that jobs that I would avoid doing , but a lot of them are very easy to complete in public.

I parked my Avenger above the casino, parachuted out and landed in the hot tub on the deck, instantly switching to my swimwear in the process.

That's my kind of resort.
