You can't do donuts anymore?

Apologies if this is something changed since Arena Wars, I took a huge break from GTA because of Red Dead, but coming back I've been enjoying this update.

Anyways, one day I won the Thrax, I took it for a spin around the city, then I stopped to do a burnout and noticed that when I did it locked me in place, I can turn the wheels, but the car doesn't move. I thought maybe it was something with the Thrax but then I tested a few older vehicles, including motorcycles, and I can't get any of them to do donuts. Again, I can do burnouts fine, and I see the wheels turning, but the vehicle just stays locked in place. I tested all my controllers to be sure, it's the same on all of them.

If this isn't a bug, and it's just part of how vehicles handle I'm bummed. Doing donuts has come in handy countless times when getting stuck in certain areas

EDIT: Ok I just did more testing and found that I can get donuts to work if I press the brake down really hard, I really hope thats just some arbitrary change and that my L2 isn't going bad on all my controllers at the same time.

That's probably the case tbh.

indeed it probably is. Cuz those are the same symptoms I observe when trying to burn out with my controller. I was able to do it by pressing down on R2/L2 really hard, and in fact now I can no longer do it. no controller setting changes. and I know for a fact my R2 is pooping out regardless :( definitely time for a new controller for me, and OP should consider making sure a backup one is readily available

It's your controller. Nothing changed in the game regarding burnouts/donuts.

It’s the membrane for your L2. You’ll have to replace it soon or it will just get worse.

They did change one thing about doing burnouts.

Try it in a muscle car.

Two years ago I just put a extra piece of plastic in my controller when my R2 button didn't get 100% input, still works today.

Op, I used a program on my computer to check if there was something wrong with my R2 button, I think it's this one:

Not sure if allowed to post this link but mods can just remove it if that's the case
