I do hope that it's not exclusive to PC though. I too would love to take advantage of creating photography from randomly recorded gaming sessions, but I just can't see myself playing the game on PC at all. Unlike many, I really do not enjoy playing games on the PC (unless I'm using a controller), but unfortunately this is mostly due to the environment that has evolved from GTAO and the like on the PC platform. I would be extremely apprehensive about even trying it whenever it's released. I envy those who are able to create and enjoy unique gaming experiences through modding single player, but you simply could not pay me to play the online variant and force myself to endure what regularly seems to go on there.

^^ I hear you on the cess pool of crap that goes on in the PC version... been there, waded through it all. Still wading.

 

But I'm used to it, so whatever happens won't be a surprise; plus, if I end up with extra cash and gold because they spawned on me? Oh well. lol

 

My primary reasons for wanting to play RDO on the PC are free aim controls and better graphics/framerates.

 

I also prefer to use Fraps for screenshots and video recording (old, but works well for me).

^^ I like the fact that R* is increasing the amount of loot in the world--especially on wagons, and NPCs; but hope at least some of it is random--really needs to happen for the sake of game play mystery/spontaneity.

 

I'm just waiting to loot a gold tooth from an NPC and find out that it's worth a whole $1.00! <insert Napoleon Dynamite "Gosh!" here> lol

I'll be buying RDR2 on PC just to experience how SP looks at max settings on a gaming PC, but unless I can enforce solo or friend only lobbies with IP whitelisting like I can in GTAO I won't be touching RDO on PC.

 

Respect to those who can tolerate public lobby conditions on PC, but I've had as much as I can take of the kind of sh*t that goes on in them.

 

All that being said, I've spent a fair bit of time on FiveM Project Homecoming, and as someone who plays GTAO mainly for the cars, it's bliss (horrendous lag aside). If something along the lines of FiveM came along for RDR2 on PC my PS4 would gather dust.

Certainly sounds juicy and will definitely bring me back to the game! Nothing I don't like the sound of and QoL stuff like functional carts and a gun locker... FINALLY! It'll be nice to switch up the loadout every so often for variety without being stuck with permaclutter.

 

I hope they plan to support and expand systems like this in subsequent updates rather follow of RDO's model of leaving older content mostly frozen in time as later additions improve on older frameworks. It'd be nice to really feel like the whole game is evolving rather than just accruing new layers that bury large portions of what came before.

I'll be going all in on the Trader role regardless, I enjoy hunting alone already, so it's a natural fit for me, but I would like to know a few more details.

 

Possibly pointlessly, I've started stockpiling meat, feathers, teeth, claws, fish and 3* small pelts just on the off chance any will be useful when the update drops.
