Today we will know for sure. Because if it doesn't come out and the event is 2 weeks then it's gonna be the 17th, but if it's 1 week then we know it's gonna be the 10th.

Either they announce a new event week or they launch the DLC.
There isn't a 3rd option.

No information today, yet, while we all know they're working on a major update for RDO which includes something they've never done before which is major changes to controls and movement in a post-launch update due to feedback.

 

I'd say they care, personally.

They probably haven't figured out how to squeeze more money out of the player base yet. Didn't that Strauss guy say they were under monetizing players? So thry probably thought they could just do the same as GTA and get more money out of RDO not realising it's a different type of game and a different fan base. I'm sure many of us on here like both but my point is that RDO doesn't have as broad a fanbase as GTA does.

Ot: RDR2 is on sale on xbox and ps just right now. No better moment to release the first major update for online today. 

 

All new players will immidiately get to play with the new stuff, while old players return. Maximum chance to sell goldbars and to reach a huge audience...

That's not what he meant. He was talking about how other Take-Two games don't have live service mechanics basically. It's sound advice to take anything said by Strauss is referring to Take-Two as a whole as he very rarely talks about Rockstar.

 

RDO has it's monetisation, cosmetics are a HUGE seller if they want to go big down that route. So far though Rockstar hasn't pushed monetisation in RDO at all really.

Obviously their hype game works , but its a sh*tty thing to do to the most active players of the game. If they would have said since July that the update would come in late september we would not be here every Tuesday like a bunch of idiots waiting for something to happen. But hey , thats what they want.

Honestly, they didn't do anything. Players just got bored, started speculating, "looking for signs" and getting hyped/disappointed in the update that still didn't come. R* stayed quiet the whole time 😄
