Weapon Affinity literally only effects reload speed. Accuracy, range, and other stats remain unaffected.

(+1) Rolling Block Rifle. When you start off it feels like no maps are designed for it. And a ton of them aren't. Once you find some of the good spots in the maps though, it can be pretty devastating.

 

 

 

(-2) Carcano Rifle. Heroic enough, but lacks the firepower of the Rolling Block.

This. RBR FTW! just wish you could headshot people who even have NWO in one go, with snipers - it's frustrating aligning a perfect headshot, only to be stoped by the card.

 

Other than that, depending on the spot, you can have flawless games playing from the back of the map and using the right cover. I could see the entire enemy team  through the hole in the wagon circled.

I still like the springfield, think its underrated- although i understand the "one shot, one opportunity" package its not for everyone. It also has a freaking sexy design:

 

 

 

The varmint is still a hunting tool and nothing else. Dont hate it, but people really need to stop using it in PvP.

 

On a sidenote completely unrelated to this, i wish sniper rifles could have their scopes removed so they could be used as a free aim gun. Been trying to practice in SP with them but im the worst sniper ever... if i stand no chance to wolves i dont wanna imagine how would i fare against other players.

LOL, good one. And what balance? Any rifle in the game is a one shot kill to the head. Everyone is voting down the Varmint because the suck at PvP. By that logic, the Lancaster should've been the first repeater to go since it's the most popular in PvP.

Varmint Rifle is a great hunting weapon but think it's going to be kicked out due to pvp use,  Couldn't agree more on they should have removed the one shot kill option on pvp.  Although I may not be tempted to try to prove this on myself, I did have a mate in the cadets who was shot several times with a .22 and seems to be fine.

(-2) Carcano Rifle. It's a good gun actually. But Rolling Block is better.

 

The .22 thing is something I've seen a ton of arguing about, since I made a video arguing they shouldn't nerf the Varmint Rifle (I figured they'd mess up and wouldn't satisfy anyone - wasn't far off the mark really).

 

Can't really claim to be an expert on it at all. I am a helicopter, I shoot 30mm rounds from my chaingun. I do know assassins use them a lot though. Reagan was shot at with one, Abraham Lincoln was killed with one. But I've also heard people say they can be survived quite well ... Don't know what to believe. I think they're strange things, bounce around a lot.

 

I guess it's all besides the point, more about balance than realism. I don't know if I want to see a lot more changes balance-wise though. It's in a reasonable enough place. Only thing I'd like to see is something to make PIB not so common. Taking aiming bloom off every card apart from that has led to it being spammed everywhere. Not to mention there's not much to counter it with if they use something powerful and/or explosive. I'm wary though, don't want to ruin anyone's cards. I think Slippery Bastard being immune to it would be fair though.
