Not that we can do much with that, i guess. But I feel time is in the mix.

Yesterday I tried that horse glitch and I lost 5-6 times in a row. Then I got a message saying I do not have enough chips to play in the casino, even though I had 220K in chips.. so I closed app really fast and cleared cache. Luckily it was ok when I got back. But I read that happened to someone else and he can not play for days, so be careful guys.

I could see them making an example of this exploit. It's funny though, it's like "let's add complex gambling mechanics to our game about theft and criminality and hopefully none of our players will try to get over on us..."

 

What did they expect lol?! I wonder if those who abused the save system to avoid bad hands will be gone after also? (I certainly hope not...*gulps*)

I got that message very frequently after I was up 1m betting only on #6

 

The message may as well be worded "go do something else for a while," because that's clearly what it means

Yea its a glitch but its holding down X...Maybe Im a handicapped gamer and I dont have the ability to let it go...
 

The other thing to consider is Casino Chips spent in the Casino Store...that is nominal losses to Rockstar...for me I still bought the 50,000 chips (when I wasn't busy playing Inside Track) They are only really losing money on players who glitched in a million chips and cashed them out and came back and did it again.

 

I actually thought at one point it was such an obvious thing someone must have done it on purpose...especially after I heard this crazy theory about RDR2 "secret meanings" Probably just my paranoia and conspiracy driven mind...

You say that as if doing it with my right hand would make a difference?

I use my left hand to Joystick and DPAD always...DPAD to navigate the in-game websites is easiest thing to do since Day 1...thats not to incriminating.

Personally I have a spring loaded hook on my right hand and I use my pinky on my left hand to pull a mechanism which opens/closes it...

 

I lost my hand in a bowling alley accident...I was a 1979 Indiana State Bowling Champion.

My point is, the glitch isn't accidental or unintentional, if you're doing it, you're doing it on purpose.

It feels barely worth it now. Even if the odds were exactly the same as before, the new cooldown slows you down so much that you might spend a minute just looking for the right race to bet on. So you win way less just because of that. It's also just generally very annoying keeping track of when you can exit and enter the screen, so that's another incentive to just not bother with it at all

I found another thing about the track.

If you don't back out and continue betting normally, #1 horse will still win close to 50%.

HOWEVER, the #1 horse will almost always be either and even or 2/1 odds.

So it's still a profit, albeit a significantly slower one now.

 

This would also mean that the lineup sheet that you backed out of has a set winner already meaning it counts as a stat to the #1 horse winning 50% of the time.

 

So, you may be wondering why the #1 is only winning at 20-30% of the time but that is because you've backed out of an even odds #1 horse that would win and you missed your chance.

This might just be me, but has anyone noticed a lack of 1 horse Evens, 2 Horse 5/1 today? I normally bet horse 1 on that race as it almost always wins.

 

Today, it's gone. The only time I've seen Evens horses at No 1 is when No 2 is also Evens or 2/1. 

 

Come on, R* - it's 10K. Why must you claw back every last f"cking cent?!

 

Think I'll just cash out and never touch the casino again...

To be honest, I've seen pairs of Evens horses before this got patched. I didn't really reset the computer myself, but sometiems I tended to get too many super low odds horses.

Yeah, pairs of Evens was always a thing, but now it's the only thing. I just looked at about 30-40 races and the best gap I saw was 1 race with 1 - Evens, 2 - 4/1. The Evens vs 5/1 didn't come up once. Every other race has only a 1-point difference between 1 & 2. 

 

Not that it matters - I just cashed out. My casino days are done. Well, except to save-scum the wheel each week for a free car.

I’m very curious to see how they handle this one, it seems to be twice as popular and widespread as the Lester/hangar glitch was. I haven’t used either glitch, but I’m still very curious to see if there are any wipes or bans handed out..

I don't think so. Thing is the lester glitch was not only AFK, it allowed low intelligence and nieve players to literally earn by leaving their console on all night then come back the next day to buy a mk2 to start grief. It was also in everyone's face. Nobody could fail to notice half the lobby spinning at the airport. It was also a refund glitch.

 

This horse racing requires some serious patience to accumulate chips, which if you don't cash out even further minimises the harm. 3million worth of artwork released in a single week? The chips are more valuable than cash but really only to collectors and completionists. Anyone using it as a money exploit would be foolish and better off running bogden or selling duplicated cars.

I have no opinion on what happens, just want to see how they’ll handle it.. it’s funny to me that they add a casino, something that is ripe for abuse and exploitation, and now tamp down the odds to a ridiculous degree. It’s not even remotely fair or fun at this point. If I have any whacky beliefs, it would be them using this as an excuse to kill the game and cease further development so they can solely focus on RDO and making it the next long term cash cow. That does sounds pretty far fetched though. This is R* we’re talking about here, the kings of backwards, jacked up logic and reasoning.

 

I personally took advantage of the game save exploit to not save bad hands, so a fair amount of my curiosity about repercussions comes from that TBH fam.

I've been reading some posts on r/gtaglitches regarding horse racing and the reports are all over the place, some are getting casino banned, some interrupted and cut off from horse racing mid race, and others being entirely unscathed (me included) Most of these repercussions are being inflicted on those who used Macros to automate the betting glitch but some who've done it manually are being affected too. Some have also said they spawned outside the casino with all of their money & chips wiped to $0, It might be a good time to start stockpiling carsss.

I believe the manual people are getting hit for backing out of the screen repeatedly to change the odds. The macro people, they probably deserve it anyway. Lazy! You only need enough chips to buy everything that can be brought with chips. Considering that has totalled about 6mil so far (not including clothes as via another glitch can pay cash for them). Oh and maybe you want 12mil left over to fill the safe. If people are running a macro for days straight I have zero sympathy for them tbh.

Some people here that don't glitch have often wished that people using glitches will get their money wiped or even worse, was just trying a little joke about that.

That said I don't think you're one of those people, so that's why I tried making a joke about it.. If I didn't have bad humour I wouldn't have any humour at all

Yeah, I read about the odd re-rolling ban and luckily stopped before I got hit. I've never actually done glitches prior to this so I'll be livid they start wiping everybody. I had 19 million before this update dropped, $14 million after making purchases and am now at $23 Million. I've made a lot from this glitch and have finally felt comfortable putting money down on some things I've wanted to buy for a long while. I understand why they don't want us making millions off glitching but maybe we wouldn't fkn' have to if they didn't actively stack the odds against those of us that grind legitimately. Unfair mechanics, repetitive missions, mediocre payouts, cars that cost more than a goddamn house, and sell missions where they basically tell the entire lobby: "This person is trying to make money, go f*ck his sh*t up fam." As many others gave said, you have to play this game like a 2nd Job if you wanna get anywhere and it is a SLOG, and hell, you might not even make it that far considering the fact that those already ontop won't hesitate to screw you over!

Well this is a bit of a nuisance... 

 

 

Rockstar's patch has made it so that even if you've just sat down at the chair on a completely fresh load-up of the game, you can get screwed over if you do this ^ because you're kicked out, basically. 

 

Of course I can hear people saying "why would you do that if you're not trying to manipulate the odds" well indeed, but this here was just a test and really there should be an extra step taken in this "patch" to do it properly - check chip balance before sitting at the chair and after each game or something.

Horse #1 will still win 40 - 50% of the time, regardless of the odds. As long as you're not stupid enough to run script or re-roll the field you can still make a chunk of change. 

 

Certainly not a get rich fast method, but you damn sure won't lose money. The long-shots are where the money is at. If you've studied the field, certain horses have a high percentage of winning.
