What could possibly be the reason for not getting Maude's first message?

Hello,

 

As title suggests, I'm having an issue with starting my road to stone hatchet. The vanderlinde mail was sent pretty quickly, within 5 minutes of all my sessions up to the one where I completed it, but even during sessions that lasted several hours, still no message from Maude.

 

Tried googling, but so far only finding accounts of people who said they just had to wait some more minutes - nothing about going for hours without the message... 

 

Any help much appreciated!

I Think this Bounty target event was only avaiable under a limited period, and isn't avaiable any more...
