Xbox one players, how much hard drive space is your install using?

I have 80.2gb free and simply can't make any more space, because the things I have on the hard drive were a nightmare to download (and in the case of rdr2 I only have the play disc)

Buddy, you're going to have to find a USB 3.0+ external hard drive to install extra games on. I'm not sure what your internal drive is - 500 GB maybe? - but eventually that gets used up, especially with massive games like RDR2 and GTAV. That's what I do, anyway. BTW, my GTA installation is about 85 GB (I think).

Amazon or look up whatever retail joint that’ll have sales on external drives. It’s almost laughable that Xbox and PS thought 500gb-1tb would be enough in the current climate of games.

What's the minimum drive size that will be supported on external?  I have a usb 3 dock and plenty of hard drives under 500gb that I could use.

I guess you could just fill up those 500gb drives, making sure you label each drive or take note of which games you have on each.

They never claimed it would. Both systems intended from the start for players to expand their storage. With the exception of the xb1x a decent external drive is also faster than the onboard hdd.

As for getting an external on sale within the next month as the fall college semester starts (Christmas holiday/spring semester too)there will be a bunch of sales on external drives. Look for one with a dedicated powersource (keyword desktop/nonportable external hdd) as those dont share cable bandwidth on phantom power.

So long as its 260gb+ and usb3.0 it will work.

Nintendo too, lol

Small memory.... and even if you do physical, the updates and DLC will take up space.

Sucks shelling out $100 extra just for storage....

But I'm finally breaking and getting one soon, so I can play Watch Dogs Legion without deleting something

I picked up a 480Gb SSD and a USB3 UASP enclosure for £50. UASP makes usb3 even faster, so my external is bascially 2+ as fast as internal (HDD).

GTA is getting on for 90Gb now.
