I think their plan was to get the casino update out in GTAO first and it was that which got delayed. The dripfeed in RDO is dedo tho for sure, games on life support at the moment. GTA will always be more profitable than RDO, and they needed the casino out of the way so players of both will have time to have calmed down from the hype. Hopefully more SP missions are coming, and it's not just 'roles' and more PvP garbage plus dripfeed clothes. If they only wanna release five missions at a time, then don't make the drag so damn long! A guest with, in due time, certain menu propositions or demands if the food ain't good enough. Amazon doesn't just step into the game to plug their Twitch Prime package. And they don't just stick their finger up Rockstar's playerbase ass to sniff on it. They'll want some f*cking over to be done. A good few new accounts might get created and Amazon will be pleased. (Those who actually register for it, congratulations. You've just took up on a new microtransaction system for your free game (no, not getting into that discussion again), subscribed and all. For $10,99 a month, more than you'd ever pay to play RDO without the "free" goodies, you get free stuff thrown at you regularly.). I'm pretty sure Rockstar will get a certain percentage of the new Twitch Prime accounts sub money, if they actually remain after the 30 days free period. But when the numbers aren't what all parties expected, well, we can all figure out what happens next. They've made a huge step in quality of life grief-wise, but content is still lacking a lot. There isn't even any use to grind cash or gold, simply because there is nothing to buy with it anyway. Doing dailies is rewarding, but skip a day and your streak is gone and you'll have to start all over again. I've bought everything I want in this game.
