what do you do when you get bored in the freemode?

Hi!

 

Sometimes playing GTAO, I get bored of doing nothing in particular...

 

And, through time I found quite "unique" ways to entertain myself...

With "unique" I mean no in-game characteristics. (Casino, minigames...)

 

For example, one of my favorites rightnow:

- Get a cool car, not too sporty but not to mean. (Ex. Sultan custom)

- Make it all black, with green neons (Like in fast and furious).

- Search and follow random players (low levels are the funniest to do this), and just follow them. Don't kill them, just follow them.

 

- Bonus: If anyone is imp/exp cars, you can follow (without crashing them or shooting), same with NC sells... just follow them.

- It's funny to see how they go crazy thinking you'll kill them.

 

(And just kill them if they kill you, thats all, but no rage, you're the one who is bothering them)

 

Did you have any "unique" way to entertain yourself?

I like to fly around. Knife between buildings, dive under bridges, buzz other players if I'm in public free roam (just waiting for one to lock on and shoot me down...lol), I especially like trying to fly a helicopter into the craziest of places (once I flew a buzzard through one of the buildings under construction). If I'm feeling adventurous, I'll take a buzzard and shoot the cops that are going after one of the randoms in the public.

Annoying and hunting MK2 Oppressors in stunt planes. It's easy to evade the missiles and it is a glorious kill when you get them with the propeller.

Go to the casino...I can easily spent hours in there and not get bored, even if I'm losing money.

 

Hunting bounties is always fun too, specially if my targets are not using meme vehicles, PvP car chases are incredibly underrated.

I love to pvp with cars... but most of the people don’t get the game

Sometimes I get bored of the game mechanics, but not of the gameplay... then is where our imagination starts to work

Try to play volleyball with peds using the Up N Atomizer.

Bounce 'em high in the air and try to hit them again (even better from below) before they land.

tip: you have to bounce them near a wall or vehicle to get decent height

Freemode in general is boring. There's really not much on the map to do except killing each other which gets boring after a few minutes. It's very rare for me to not be doing some sort of activity like a race, mission etc. Really don't see how people can spend all day in freemode.

Yeah... not so much to do...

I like to chill with my cars... thats all what I do when im not grinding

Up-N-Atomize people and bash their head in with a hammer before they can get up. You'll take a whole lot of losses...but it is real fun and challenging.

I'm weird, if I'm bored I like to get above the clouds in my akula and drop bombs. I never got a kill doing this but it's still fun. 

 

If I'm tired but not quite ready to turn the game off I take my terrorbyte into the subway tunnels and try to get kills with drones. 

 

Usually though, as of recently you can find my in the casino gambling away.

When Im bored I help another players with their heists, including the deliver of the EMP (They fail it 90% of the times). Other thing that I do is buy and modify crappy cars.

 

Or if I see someone importing a car or delivering some stuff I chase them with my MK II but I dont kill them

These are my feelings exactly. If I have something that needs to be done in freemode or I'm in the mood to sell or collect business stuff, I always do it in a low MTU lobby where I don't have to deal with anyone. Outside of that, I play various jobs and if I'm bored of that or of the game in general, I sign off and play something else or go to bed.

 

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the game, but gone are the days of playing just to play; I need something going on to motivate me and I absolutely despise public free roam, so there is literally nothing there for me at all.

Hmm this is an easy one. I usually grab a bmx bike and travel around the freeways on the wrong side if the road to see how far I get if im the only one around. Other than that I just take photos using rockstar editor to progress my storyline. Sometimes role play with my characters. If my buddy is on we just help each other out with whatever and act like a couple sometimes just for fun. Retired from pvp a year ago or so now. There is always something to do you just gotta go out and find it.

It's rare I get bored in any game to be fair, usually it's on in the first place because I want to be there.

 

I've got lots of little targets and so many cars I enjoy tuning and driving. I'm usually only in freemode to do jobs or petty crimes like boost and sell a Sentinel/Sandking or piss about somehow, that or having a cuppa/smoke break.

 

If I'm drawing a blank or don't fancy my more target driven gaming, I just spam on call. Races, heists, missions, arena, Sumo, Deadline, that sort of thing. I love that I've got 2 types of game here really, my business empire and role-playing side, and the on call/arcade-like side. (The casino has added to this too of course).

 

That said, I did get bored going for the Go-Go Monkey Blista, not of the company of course, just that much gameplay in such a short spell. But it was very rewarding so well worth it, but I know grinding isn't for me properly now, lol.

I train my flying skills in helicopters (highspeed under bridges f.e.) with self radio on, accept invites of low level CEO's to fill their warehouse (still flying) or I grab my Akula and hunt bounties. Here and there, I also flank some lonley sale guy with my Akula. I just appear on their radar next to them, text them they don't have to worry and make sure they get their sale done - killing the attacking enemies.

 

If I read a longer killfeed, I make sure that griefers leave the lobby or go passive.

when I'm bored:

• I start a shootout against the police using only the Up'n Atomizer
• I play random VIP work/challenges/client jobs
• I take a jet and fly under bridges/upside down until I crash
• sit in passive mode and watch people fight each other
• sell low value cargo from my nightclub to lure Oppressor mk2s after me and then kill them
