[SA]CJ Animations and question about Melee

Got 2 questions I still haven't figured out yet. First, where exactly are CJ's/Player animations stored? Because I've searched and tested many files that seem like they'd be what tells the game what animations to use on CJ, but so far nothing works at all, and now I'm totally at a lose on where they're stored. I can edit the animations for any of the peds in the game, but I have no idea where CJ's are being stored. Anyone have an idea on where?

 

Second thing is, and I feel I've asked this before, but would anyone know what controls what melee weapon can block another? Such as the Katana is able to block a Baseball bat, and the Knife, but the Knife cannot block either of those. I've tried the melee and weapon .dat files, I even checked object.dat, but neither of those seems to control what can block what.

there's one animation file that contains the basic animations:

GTASA\anim\ped.ifp

 

all other ifp files are stored inside GTASA\models\gta3.img

like weapons.ifp, colt45.ifp, baseball.ifp, fight_b.ifp, biked.ifp, bsktball.ifp, car.ifp

Yeah I already fully checked the ped.ifp but nothing changed CJ's animations when I tried. I did have a thorough look through gta3.img, and I ended up finding both fat.ifp and muscular.ifp, which now I'm pretty sure are the animations the game uses whenever CJ gets either fat or muscular, and editing them worked ^^

 

So yeah. For anyone in the future that also runs into the issue of trying to edit CJ's animations, remember to consider the fat.ifp and muscular.ifp files the game uses specifically for CJ.

 

Only question remains is the weapon blocking thing. Is this still something no one has figured out yet?
