Future Singleplayer Update ideas (For the Rockstar devs)

Recommended Posts

Some ideas i feel would bring a better experience for the epilogue of the game

Spoiler

Have a day out with Abigail and take jack fishing for immersion as i feel that would bring a better experience for a rancher

Obviously make it an optional quest as people might not want to

Spoiler

Take uncle,Abigail and jack to the cinema again make it optional if possible

When doing chores when doing all the chores and taking them to the cart have them goto a location to send off the delivery as a blank screen isn't very immersive in my eyes

that's all i have at the minuet

Spoiler

More random events at the ranch

Future Single Player updates? lol, where have you been, haven’t you heard? Rockstar doesn’t do SP updates since the release of GTA Online. You are 5 years too late with your suggestions...

Indeed, the only new things that may come to single player will be on the PC or PS5/next Xbox versions. And it will not be close to a dlc or such, perhaps some weapons imported from online or some new clothing also imported from online.

Wonderful but i personally don't care anymore of what people think as they could be saying absolute bull and no one really knows what's gonna happen

Not happening. Rockstar have made it very clear it's Online from here on out. Enjoy the single player for the masterpiece it currently is.

Sad but true. I personally feel there is so much potential not being used in the single player. The single player is good as it is but wow how even greater it could be with some story DLCs like expanding the family feud or more playable story with the gang vs Colm.

Oh if it were up to me I'd have us get 5 Single Player DLC's

The Van der Linde Gang - Play as Arthur Morgan and go through the years of the infamous Van der Linde gang before everything went bad. Live the events of how Arthur met Dutch and Hosea and John's arrival to the gorup. See them at their very best. This would feature a brand new map. (October 2019)

The Ferry Job - Play as John Marston in this prequel to the main story of RDR2 and be apart of the planning of The Ferry Job, experience how things go wrong and finally find out just exactly what went down with Heidi McCourt. (March 2020)

Sadie Adler, Bounty Hunter - Play as Sadie Adler and see how things turn out when she went to South America to continue her bounty work. This would feature a brand new map. (June 2020)

Before The Redemption - Play as Javier and Bill in 2 seprate Chapters to see what happened to them after the events at Beaver Hollow. This would start in 1899 and end just a few weeks before John finds Bill at Fort Mercer. This would feature the return of the Nuevo Paraiso map. (August 2020)

Red Dead Redemption - Remastered Version of the first game as DLC with tweaks such as Javier, Abigail and Uncle's lines being rerecorded by the RDR2 voice actors and with mentions of Arthur, plus more free roam dialogue when John is home at Beechers Hope. All new features from RDR2 would be added as well, clothing, hair growth (before anyone says it, the correct version of his)  and bathing, amongst many other things. (November 2020)

That is how I'd do and and with their release times but all we got now are dreams.....dreams and fanfic.

No, no not at all. However it's nice to dream. I had even made this but yeah it'll never happen. Although I would pay way more money for this than any amount of gold bars.

Online is where they make their money. I want DLC as much as anyone else but if Online brings money in, they're going to put a lot of their focus there

You are of course correct, but I really wonder if the online part of this game has been such a success as R* anticipated or if it has been somewhat of a letdown for them!? Personally I am not interested in the online part of neither RDR2 nor GTAV but many of my friends are and most(maybe all) of them has given up on RDR2-online and went back to GTAV-online instead. It is just anecdotal and as such of course no evidence in one way or the other, but to me it raises questions about how popular RDR2-online really is?

You do raise a good point, Rockstar would have done monthly or bimonthly updates theoretically if RDR2 Online was as good in making money.

Personally RDR2 online feels rather boring and lackluster to me even though i was a really really die hard fan of RDR1.

With all the effort they put into singleplayer and all the details, it would be a waste to not provide more single player experiences or DLC but i guess time will tell.

But why couldn't they focus on Multiplayer and single player it's not like they don't have the funds to do so. Iv also seen youtube videos from big youtubers saying there's speculation of new RD2 content in future or new singleplayer updates if they made it mod supported it would do me.

Because online brings them much more money than SP DLC, it's that simple.

Moreover, multiplayer content needs less development time and a smaller team than if it's a content made to expand the story mode. Staff will be moved to work on new projects instead. What large publisher makes story expansions these days? Very few, and barely any. Not that I'd not like it, as I actually would love to experience more stories in the Redemption universe, but given the circumstances, it's currently closer to being a dream than a reality until proven otherwise.

Exactamundo. GTA Online had its biggest week ever with Casino DLC. That's one building, 20 cars, mocap and voiceover for 6 missions, some clothing and few minigames. 50$ shark cards gets you 2 supercars in the best case. 10 years ago for 40 dollars you had both The Lost and Damened and The Ballad of Gay Tony expansions. The difference couldn't have been more stark.

Era of single player DLC is almost over. From upcoming games only Cyberpunk 2077 comes to my mind and that's only because they still care. They still don't want to treat us like a "wood to chop". But when they are lost, well...

Ubisoft still makes good single player DLC. Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed come to mind.

They should've released Red Dead online this October with all the content they've been working on for it. Would've been much better and people would be coming from all over to play it

Don’t even mention CP2077, the developers couldn’t even be arsed to add a third person mode.

Instead of bounties have it so that the lawmen can send you after camps of gangs (o'driscolls, Raiders, mudfree gang etc.) and it pays more then an individual bounty.

Cynically the reason they won't do that is bc they can't milk it like an updated service. Sucks but that's r* atm.
