What from GTAO, would you like to bring over to RDO?

Guys the best thing from GTA we could have in RDO is obviously the O R B I T A L  C A N N O N :p

I'd just love to see a pop-up every time I enter a session telling me that the RC Bandito is now available to call from the interaction menu.

Seriously though - I keep double-clicking my thumbstick trying to point, but the point emote is buried under a few buttons. By the time I find it, there's no longer a need.

Give us the "GTA point" ability.

Clearly you did, considering this thread was simply asking what we’d LIKE to see in Red Dead and you took it upon yourself to tell me what I wanted to see didn’t fit your vision of what the game should have. If you didn’t give a sh*t, you would’ve kept your mouth shut. But you didn’t, and here we are.

A difference in opinion is just that, nothing more. Just because I don't think cars belong in the game, isn't some personal attack on you. I would have the same opinion regardless of who made the post.

Red Lynx 23

Peyote. It existed back in 1898, and was just as legal as Cocaine.

And that’s fine. My point was you said you didn’t care what I said when clearly you did. You can’t play both sides by saying “pssh I didn’t care what you said, I just wanted to challenge your opinion”.

Other way around, but I think that since GTA’s gunplay is so f*cking awful (especially on console) that we need ability cards on GTA

What do you think bullshark testosterone, off the radar, ghost organization. etc are? “Ability” cards.

The bullet proof helmet might as well “never without one” card.

Period cars, motorbikes, and cycles to Red Dead. The gun mechanics to GTA.

Vehicles, of which there were none?

Well ability cards usually have a pre requisite to work or have a drawback. Ghost, Bullshark, and helmets have no drawback other then requiring a insignificant amount of cash

Houses/apartments - or even just the ability to rent a room at a hotel, instead of having to camp out in the open air, with Cripps loitering around (or, yanno, deciding to abscond with all your stuff every so often... :turn:).

Would be nice if R* could let us have little cabins or whatnot, and set them up in existing camp locations (or something similar, at least - not all camp locations are big enough) - but like with yachts in GTAO, while they might move around a bit in order to accommodate multiple players in the area, they don't come and go like current camps.

I really just want something more solid, with more interior features - customisation would be good, too. Something that feels less like a temporary storage area, and more like a permanent home base. That's something that GTAO got right straight out of the gate, and I wish other games would build on that, rather than offering less.

I was hoping for properties too. But no mention of it in the newswire. Only camp upgrades like dogs and the stew pot. These assets are already in the game.

At this point I don't think we'll get properties. Game designers are stubbornly focused on this camp idea, keeping our characters homeless forever. On some things they flat out refuse to listen to what the players want from this game.

Yes and coloured friend blips on the map and aiming priority. I've lost count of the number of times I've shot a friend who suddenly spawned in next to me or just headed directly towards me in a session. Maybe I'm just too twitchy with the trigger though.

Spawned in at night time, with a lot of rain and then fog, a tiny bit of sunshine to be followed by dust clouds on end.

So, I'd like to see the weather dynamics of GTAO in RDO too, to at least have some visibility to enjoy the environment.

Yup - I suspect they're going to get a decent amount of mileage out of whatever currently exists, but isn't available to players.

Which is ...well, so long as I can get a decent carriage to swank around in eventually, I don't mind too much. Although it does remind me of how much stuff from single-player they could add to flesh out the game - being able to have a sit-down meal in a restaurant, watching the shows at the theatre, etc. I'd argue that RDO is a better place for those kinds of things than RDR2 single-player, simply because it's a more relaxed experience, without all the demands of the single-player story competing for your attention.

On a different note, I hope that we're allowed to choose between different dog breeds - maybe name them, even...

It's 1898, there's a reason why there's no cars in the game.

First car was invented in 1885/1886 so cars are a  possibility and I like to see them how they were back in a day. Look cool

Check out A Fistful of Dynamite with Charles Coburn & Rod Steiger. There was another western with a motorcycle in the early 70s but I forget which. Anyway motorized vehicles were very vulnerable and ill-suited to any terrain but roads. Hit so much as a rock and those thin tires would go pop. Besides I don't think it'd be easy to find gas. And they were very slow too. I'll take a horse back in those days over any motorcycle or car, if I'm on the open range.

If only those can be placed at the RDO camp, so you don't have to switch games just to spin the wheel and gamble away chips you might get from it. :D

It's not a feature I'd actually want for the gameplay, but purely out of laziness.

Ya after my post I realised if they add cars, it would make horses absolute. So I'm with you. Rather be on horse.

But it's still be nice to see these classic cars in any game. Lol

What I would give to be able to buy the combat roll from GTA instead of that god awful jumping out of the way animation.

That kind of stuff would be funny. It should be weak and slower than a horse on difficult terrain, so that it would not be suited for every situation. Rather a High Roller item to show off. We even already got a price with that add !

The car advertised here started being sold in 1898, hence why I choosed this one in particular.

Would love to blast through the terrain of the RDO map with my GTAO Kamacho, just for the sake of some decent offroad fun with it. Just for once...

Got to admit, It would be pretty cool to take my Kamacho into Grizzlies West through some deep snow and on the frozen lakes.

Hopefully, when RDR2 hits PC some bright spark will figure out how to mod GTAO vehicles into RDR2 SP.

Add the Cliffhanger and/or Gargoyle to that one.

Or when you shoot crocs with the Varming although you trying to shoot the birds that fly above them. Just add something that makes you able to switch between targets.
