Is there any way to run the game without the launcher? When I block it in firewall, regardless the game won't launch because the launcher is preventing it from doing so as it is disconnected from internet access.. I have the retail disk version so no steam for me.

Have you tried to use a mod manager? I think one of them comes with a patch for that.

Nope, You'll have to remove the scripthook if you want to get into the game

This didn't work - when it goes through and opens up the GTA V Launcher regardless. it just says that I need to update and can't get past that.

i have a backup of the old EXE files, but that doesnt seem to help.

when i try and run it the game launches the same RGSC and tries to update.
what can i do to just run the game offline without letting it update?

I got a list of all the mods I use, it'll probably take a few days to update them all.

It's very obvious that they're doing it on purpose. DRM isn't just magically applied just to the stuff that we happen to need.

It's very obvious that they're doing it on purpose. DRM isn't just magically applied just to the stuff that we happen to need.

 

Well yeah, the same stuff you guys need for SP mods also effects Multiplayer. They're not breaking SP mods on purpose, but its a side effect of protecting MP from mods.

So in summary this update was to remove the hook script? Having played the game since it's release this update is BS the cars are ok, heli is gold (big f*ing deal) and the gun sucks. Nice motive R*
