So I'm wondering if I'll get banned if I go online with the current scripthook? Cause I heard C* wrapped up some pseudo anti-cheat mechanism.....I'm not looking to cheat, but knowing my nature I wouldn't be suprised if I'd for example mistakingly switch to my online character by accident

As far as accidentally switching to online is concerned, with the current official ScriptHookV by Alexander Blade the game should close when trying to join Online. If you do still want to play online as well, you can either close your game and remove the third party files manually and put them back in when you want to play single player with mods again or use one of the batch files shared before, my ModManagerV tool (http://yourik.com/software/modmanagerv) or a similar tool, apparently there are a few of them out there :)

 

I suggest to firstly remove the third party files, then make a backup of the gta 5 folder (copy and paste) and then put all the third party files back.. I do this with all my games that i want to mod because I dont like to close my whole game delete it and then restart it...
The tool that I made puts your third party files and folders into the game directory when you click "Activate mods" and when you click "Deactivate mods" it deletes all third party files and folders from the game directory. So that's an alternative to backing up all of the 60GB.

 

Thats right, BTW nice mod loader!Thanks! :D haha but don't be too loud calling it a mod loader, it was called ModLoaderV before until I got told that it actually wasn't a mod loader but a mod manager so I had to rename it all ^^

 

why isn't it a modloader?I think because a mod loader would actually inject the mods. My tool places the files and removes them but it's not actually responsible for or capable of injecting the mods into and "dis-injecting"(?) them from the game's processes while it's running.

PS: I'm not the expert on this though and I couldn't find a definition for "mod loader" anywhere but I got told two times that the name for my tool was misleading so I better corrected it than mislead more people :)

I'm pretty sure renaming the log files aren't necessary, but better safe than sorry, right?

 

Anyway, dropping the batch file into the GTAV directory (_Run_Modded_GTA5.bat).

Creating a shortcut to it on the desktop, GTA5 (Modded).

Adding all *.asi's into the asi folder (as for me, it's just the included NativeTrainer.asi).

Then launching the shortcut, typing either 1 or 2, and joining the game, is easy-peasy.

 

I play both Story Mode (with mods) and Online without any issues. I did have the original ScriptHook loaded in memory when playing online, without triggering it, before the updates, so hopefully I don't get banned for that. If I do, then so be it.

 

Thanks for all you (Alexander) and everyone else (all you modders) do for the community. :)

The tool that I made puts your third party files and folders into the game directory when you click "Activate mods" and when you click "Deactivate mods" it deletes all third party files and folders from the game directory. So that's an alternative to backing up all of the 60GB.

 

Wow, that's actually really handy. Combine this with SCV and it's a dream come true :D

Will using this script and just messing around in Single Player ban me from Multiplayer? That's what I've been hearing. I don't want to use it online at all. I just want to mess around some with it in SP!

You are doing lots of stuff wrong , it's better you to add the changes to native trainer , and it should be NotifyAboveMap(msg);

 

I compiled it but scripthookv log still shows no sign of it when i run it. Do you know what the issue might be?

 

 

 

 

I figured it out Alexander, the new scripthook sdk and some other players source codes really guided me in the right direction, thanks to the community.

so a day has passed where i've used all kinds of mods still no ban so either people ar lying or they simply connected to gtaonline somehow and got banned

 

i think it's safe to say you can't get banned from modding sp but as soon as you go in gtaonline even accidently you will likely get banned

Rockstar loves delayed bans. I did not get banned till one week later after I per say "Violated the TOS"

Just wanted to say thank you for your continued support for the plugins/native trainer. Must be very annoying to work for end on hours for them to patch the game changing all the hashes on you. Anyway it's guys like you who made building my PC an easy decision, the freedom you allow us in the game's we paid for is amazing! Purely anecdotal but I've never had a single crash or any other minor issues from using this mod.

Yup I know, I wanted to from the beginning, it's just that people on here keep asking about moving the files in and out and that but I guess that should be it now.

So, "last reminder" from me that if you do not want to manually move the mod files into the game folder and out, I made a tool that does this for you. You need to use a combination of GET_PED_DRAWABLE_VARIATIONS and SET_PED_COMBINATION_VARIATION. As long as you know the drawableID, you can just use the latter.

Its not safe letting Social Club login and having ANY mods in the game at all! You will get banned! Even if its just single player.Alexander Blade, What we need is something like XLIVELESS from GTA IV. Where it disables online 100% (stops social club login ect.) At this rate, for anyone who is paranoid like myself and wants to avoid a ban. I recommend making a 2nd GTA V Directory, and using a crack to launch the game to 100% avoid social club flagging your account again.

I called Rockstar and told them I modded singleplayer and they said it was Ok and I won't be banned.

 

well, I kept modding singleplayer without getting banned but then I got the ban message and contacted them, and they told me I admitted to modding online!

How hard was it to make GTA5SP.exe and GTA5MP.exe, Rockstar?

 

Why can't we have mods in singleplayer? Why is your GTA online done so poorly everyone has to suffer? Why cant we have our own servers where mods are allowed?

 

I didnt read to 56 pages of text so sorry if this has been asked before but is there any way to make mods work again or do I have to wait? If I have to wait, how long?

Its not that simple.

 

the problem is regardless If they made two EXE's.

 

 

the Game assets of SinglePlayer is SHARED with GTA Online's Game assets.

 

 

 

I doubt my petition will work, but hey its a long shot, besides Im trying to be logical here with a possible solution/s they could potentially implement to enable BOTH OF US to be SATISTFIED ALONG with an CLEAN GTA Online, by adding with their current system (remove the ban aspect of modding, keep the unreadable root folder, and make ONLY Mods Folder be readable for SP and for Mods. Where SP will read from (if it locates any modified files, it will disregard the one in the root folder etc) and Online will disregard.)

I'll hold off on putting the scripthook into GTA V. I'd rather not get banned from Online until a solution is worked out. Thanks though for the effort. I bet it's fun.

Just a quick question, why was the dsound.dll replaced with dinput8.dll?
Also should I now just delete dsound.dll from my game directory (I mean I already have, but just making sure)?

About the ban, if I play single player only and still get banned, so what? I can still play single player with a ban, correct?

dinput8.dll does not replace dsound.dll, you need both in your game directory, but make sure that you use the new ones.

Yes you can still play singleplayer. but you are banned from gta online.

dinput8.dll does not replace dsound.dll, you need both in your game directory, but make sure that you use the new ones.

Ahh ok, but why isn't it included in the latest scripthook package then?

Hey guys!

 

First time trying mods, it worked for me after downgrading and adding scripthook.

I tried searching for this but I cant find the answer,

is it possible to go online without updating and deleting files each time? or will I have to update and downgrade if I want to play offline?
