Someone said he got banned as soon as he hit F4 on singleplayer he got banned from online

I'll keep using the old patch for the next days until someone confirm all these rumors.

Kinda want to try it, but I'm afraid it'll happen like you say.

I'm tempted to ask R* directly, but then I'm also afraid they'd ban my account for just asking... Lol.

banning people for using the trainer / script offline is dumb, also i've seen a link for a modded scripted working online, but whatever they'll just get banned

safest thing to do is remove the file when going online. and in SP put it back in

Don't forget to disconnect from the internet after entering the game. If people are being banned even in SP the removal of these file when going online will not prevent the ban while in SP.

The Steam discussion pages for GTA V are being flooded with people who got banned for trying the trainer in SP. Oh well, I'm not risking it, already removed the files from my folder. Guess that if I want to mess around in SP I'll have to download a copy from somewhere... Sad, really.

 

Well, upon thinking more about it, that or disconnecting from the internet if I want to use it. Though it's probably still unsafe.

Apparently, having the files in your folder, does not generate any kind of ban. Activate them, however, it is another story entirely.

You can use them in SP with the previous patch. To go online put the new update back and delete all the scripts. Simple.

This could sound a little wrong... ...but I do have a "free" version that I use for mods and my Steam version to go Online.

aw of course + you are logging into the same SC account - maybe the only safe way to play mods at the minute then is to have to 'seperate' installs

Well, I don't know the current state of "free versions" for GTA V but theoretically a "free version" would disable all of the game's online features. So if you copy your whole game to a different directory and install a "free version" on there, you could safely use that version of the game for modding and use your normal Steam/RGSC version for online play.

Might actually just do that since it shouldn't violate any copyrights if you own a legal CD key of the game.

Hey guys, i would really appreciate any help anyone could give me. I live out in the country and dont have access to reliable high speed Internet. I have taken my computer to my brothers house to download all the updates (including the one that released yesterday) and i still can not play the game in offline mode. I bought this game for mod potential for single player only and have been watching this thread especially, waiting for the new update on the script hook, only to be unable to play now that it is here. My copy is retail box set and im stuck in this endless loop of trying to sign in to the social club. I click on the offline mode button when it first tries to connect, only for it to tell me it cant connect and to retry or cancel. I do not want online, i just want to play single player and get a chance to play all these cool mods. Thank you for your time.

Unfortunately the only way to assure you won't get banned is two installations, a clean one for GTA Online and another for single-player modding using a pirate crack. Just make sure you are logged out of RGSC before you use the launcher because there is a trigger that requires RGSC to run in the background. I can confirm the newest crack works without any crashes, in fact I think the game may even run better with this exe. Do not ask me for a link, google is where you will find it.

i've used the trainer alot now no ban i don't care though if i do get banned then i'll make sure to let people know
