I just registered because I also have a problem with the automatic update.

I bought the retail version. Is it enough to block all of the three exe files in Windows Firewall?

Does anyone have a version of the NativeTrainer with different controls? I'm using a tenkeyless keyboard.

Here you are the files to downgrade the Rockstar retail version, for those who wants to keep playing with mods :

My Launcher Updated It Straight Back. Help Anyone

You need to set the game to offline mode and block your launcher from accessing the internet in some cases.

How Do I DO This

Block connection with the windows firewall for both "GTA5.exe" and "GTAVLauncher.exe". Works for me. ;)

Can't be bothered to explain so just find out how to block applications from your firewall and block social club or steam if you play GTA with that.

I backed up my GTA V folder. When I play with mods, I will switch the folders and disconnect my ethernet cable.

I'm pissed though. I was planning on getting the retro video game Blista in my garage in Online. I love the artwork on that car.

Go to steam settings -> downloads and set a schedule to only download between midnight and 1am, and make sure steam is not running then. Or pull your ethernet cable / dosconnect your wireless, setup a rule in your router firewall.

Could it be that Rockstar havn't specifically blocked this just made an update to their game and .exe's and now the Native Trainer is incompatible? It happens with addon's for Blizzards World Of Warcraft hmm nearly every month a very update heavy game. Perhaps it is nothing personal shall we say. Looking forward to an update by Alex or alternative. Thanks

I blocked GTA5.exe and GTAVLauncher.exe but then the launcher didn't even start. A message window popped up, telling me steam_api64.dll is missing. :-/

I have GTA V installed from DVDs and not Steam.

You have to open Windows Firewall w/ Advanced Security:

5myvS.jpg

Click on "New Rule" on the right side. Under the Programs tab, add GTAVLauncher.exe (you have to browse to your install location).

Yes, it should work. You can also add 127.0.0.1 patches.rockstargames.com inside hosts file. Auto-Login must be checked before doing this. Select play offline when starting the game.

Don't expect it soon , they have changed native hashes again , wonder if this will be common for every patch :D

Do you know what component of the game contains random events? It would be an awesome trainer feature to be able to load up random events on command like you load missions again in the trainer in GTA IV. Except now Rockstar finally came to their senses and let you replay missions.

Hosts file can be located in the following directory:-

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Open it with Notepad and copy and paste the following at the bottom, then save and exit:-

127.0.0.1 patches.rockstargames.com

Hosts file can be located in the following directory:-

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

This Is All I Have When I Look AT The "hosts" File:

# Copyright © 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.

I edited my last response, check back, I've explained what to do there.

Oh... And don't put a Hash marking, if you do it will be ignored, just paste it as it is.

I'm gonna make a little program that will load a forever 1.0.355.2 gta5.exe, and a normal auto patching one.

Nothing complicated, just a alternate launcher.
