This is a menyoo issue as you can clearly see at the last line of the log. A rough guess is that's a memory overload. You can't place an endless amount of props in the game without bloating the memory. There's a limit somewhere and to me it looks like you've overshot it. To make sure I suggest you ask the author of menyoo.

Hello everyone. It's been a good while since I worked on Grand Theft Auto 5 mods, but I have decided to start doing this again. I downloaded the Native Trainer from Alexander Blade and been working on creating my own scripts with the trainer. I have also been studying Microsoft c++ more now. As a result, I just finished the book C++ All in One for Dummies (7 books in 1 - 800 pages). So I've got a better understanding of classes, inheritance, instantiation, casting, pointers, arrays, enums, vectors, iterating through objects, templates, etc.

What I want to move toward now is learning more about graphic enhancements to the trainer I'm extending from Alexander Blade's work. I see that Win32 has been implemented into trainers out there and wonder if that is the best way to understand this better. For example, it would be cool to learn how to create fancier text displays of various colors, maybe eventually using images (jpeg, PNGs) in the trainer, etc. Also later I'd like to get a better grasp on the physics too.

So what book would you recommend a beginner like me to read to grasp c++ graphics in a deeper way? I was looking at Open GL and DirectX, but I'm not sure if that would help with GTA 5 trainer scripts. I need a book with c++ only since that is the language I desire.

One of the primary things I'm working on understanding better (eventually) is using vector 3d coordinates. For example, does anyone have any snippet code that shows how to get the position in front of the player? I would like to be able to use mod additions that are at the x,y,z position directly in front. I hope to eventually get the gravity gun working I found online too.

Another thing I'm hoping to learn better is moving objects in the 3D environment. I currently use this code for my object spawning, but that's about all I can do now is spawn them in front of my player. Whenever I try to move the objects using a function from the ENTITY namespace such as  ENTITY::SET_ENTITY_COORDS_NO_OFFSET(objHash, obj.x, obj.y, obj.z + objzMove, 0, 0, 1) the game crashes. Below is the object spawning code I'm currently using.

Also sometimes after spawning objects for a while, the game crashes again. Is there a way to check for an empty object? I've already tried things like if (ENTITY:DOES_NOT_EXIST(objHash) !=NULL) { (then I run the routine in between the braces.

            LPCSTR objModels[4] = { "prop_acc_guitar_01", "prop_roadcone01a", "p_ld_soc_ball_01","prop_aircon_l_02"};

            Hash objHash = GAMEPLAY::GET_HASH_KEY((char *)objModels[objLoc]);

            case 0:
            {
                if (STREAMING::IS_MODEL_VALID(objHash) == true)
                {
                    OBJECT::CREATE_OBJECT(objHash, obj.x, obj.y, obj.z + 1 + objzMove, 1, 1, 1);
                    char caption2[332];
                    sprintf_s(caption2, "Object Location: x:%f y:%f z:%f - moving: %s = %i", obj.x, obj.y, obj.z + objzMove, (char *)objModels[objLoc], objzMove);
                    set_status_text(caption2);
                }

                WAIT(0);
            }
            break;

Errors occur when I try to delete objects to. Here is a sample of what I'm using (likely misunderstanding).

            Object objDelete = objHash;

            case 5:
            {

                if (ENTITY::IS_ENTITY_AN_OBJECT(objDelete))
                {
                    ENTITY::DELETE_ENTITY(&objDelete);
                    set_status_text("Deleting the object");
                }
                else
                    set_status_text("Object not found to be deleted.");
            }
            break;

Perhaps it is not liking the copy of the constructor I made? Not sure.

I hope you guys get the ScriptHook trainer working again. I'm still using the old version, so everything is fine for now.

So I appreciate your feedback and help as always. This is a great community and always has been. I'm currently hoping to create a stunt jump mod from some scripts I've been working on. Thanks so much for everything! :)

I'm sorry I have to contact you that way. I saw your post about the chopper spotlight and I'm wondering if you get it working? I am working on my own one but I just started editing scripts and It would be cool to have a working one. :D

I've been fiddleing with GTA V for a few days now, trying to understand what's causing ScriptHookV to throw exceptions when trying to load (or even mid-game) ASI plugins such as TrainerV (Simple Trainer), Menyoo, Gears (Manual Transmission & Wheel Support), etc...
It seems that the culprit is ENB series v0.387 (something related to DX11), but I can't pinpoint why exactly. I've tried to search online for any type of detailed debug methods, but had no success. Had to rescue my GTAForums account from who-knows-when just to post this. Maybe it'll help in bug fixing, or maybe I've missed a previous post stating exactly what I'm saying here (if that's the case, I'm sorry).
Anyway, hope this helps, and good luck to all of you modders!

Cheers

EDIT: Apparently my account was from 2008 😂

EDIT2: After a week trying to solve endless crashes, I finally got it to work. So, I thought it would be better to post some more details about my specs and config because that might help. Also, I realized that I might be barking at the wrong tree, and should be posting this to the ENB thread, but since the latest ENB works when I'm not using ScriptHookV, I feel like it may be SHV's fault. Here are the details:

Graphics Card: GTX1080

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (Update 1809)

NVIDIA GeForce Driver version: 430.86

DirectX version: DX11 (in-game), DX12 (installed and up-to-date through Windows Update)

GTA V version: 1.0.1604.1
ScriptHookV version: 1.0.1604.1 (from 10 Feb 2019)
ENB version: 0.275 (any version above this causes ScriptHookV to throw exceptions in several ASI mods)

Installed ASI Mods:

  • OpenIV.asi
  • GTAV Heap Adjuster: v1.0.0
  • Packfile Limit Adjuster: v1.1
  • Extended Camera Settings: v1.2.2
  • TrainerV: v9.8
  • Gears: v4.6.6
  • WeatherDetector: (from VisualV - see below)
  • Shadows: (from VisualV - see below)
  • TimecycleMods: (from NaturalVision - see below)

Installed Mods:

  • VisualV: v1.0.450
  • NaturalVision Remastered: October 24, 2018 Update
  • Real California Architecture: v0.4.4
  • L.A. Roads (+patch): v1.0
  • Beta Vegetation & Props: v7.4
  • Realistic Driving V: v2.5
  • Wheels Custom Pack: v3.4

I'm playing at max settings (without the advanced graphics) and using NaturalVision's ENB Ultra preset.
Everything's stable, GTA V loads at 1st try and doesn't crash mid-game. If this is not relevant to SHV, I hope it helps someone else at least.

Why is it that I can only use trainers now and not mods? This is supposed to be for running mods, not trainers only. Please fix this. The game and Scripthook have been updated for months, so there should be no reason for the mods not to work when the mods are current and updated versions. Mods were working just fine before the update, now nothing except trainers work, essentially making Scripthook entirely useless. I am personally not happy here and I don't know why nobody brought it up before or why it wasn't fixed before releasing it. As is, scripthook might as well not have been updated because no modder only wants to use trainers. I and every GTA V modder in existence would like to see a solution to this rather quickly as we've been waiting ever since the update...

I have a problem with my game. It never happened to me. It keeps crashing and I get problems with scripthook. Have you met with such mistakes and problems?

Read my post right above yours... (for me) it seems to be a conflict with enbseries. Try ENB v0.275 and ScriptHookV should work just fine.

Why would you post it as a bug of OpenIV? You even state that the problem seems to be a conflict between ENB series and ScriptHookV in the bug's description... What does OpenIV have to do with that?

I decided to post my findings here because this is Alexander's ScriptHook topic and it might help him correct bugs in future versions of SHV.

Same here. Taken all non-GTA files out and tried it with just the Scripthook, same issue.

No I have 0 mods. I even installed a gta 5 program that ripped all possible mods from my dir. Game launches fine, and then I put in scv and dinput and it doesnt launch

Must be a Scripthook issue. I removed everything and launched the game to verify it worked. Then I added only "ScriptHookV.dll" and when I try to load the game, I get a long period of the GTA5 process starting and stopping a few times before it times out and errors. If I then remove "ScriptHookV.dll", it works first time.

So our games are not loading because of an outdated mod file? Or is it Script Hook V?

Ah damn, here was me thinking 3 days huh not too bad, but nope, looks like we're gonna be waiting the full 2 weeka for this

Cheers master AB, us peasents are so thankful that you put in an if statement that literally creates an a false "CRITICAL" error and throws people out of V because R* released an update. Who cares if there will be forum posts due to memory addresses changing? it's better than this sh*t show of a setup
