Very possibly. Always check with a clean game, renaming the mods and scripts folders is good enough to stop them loading. If you do that and it still crashes, remove any modded files from the main game folder other than the 3 I highlighted in my earlier post. If your game runs fine clean, then you know for sure that the problem lies elsewhere.

 

If it crashes when you put the mods folder back, the problem's in there, if not, it's probably a script mod. So then add the ones back to the main folder first, then do the scripts folder.

 

Edit: Just noticed you mention LSPDFR, that uses RPH and I refuse to have that on my machine, so I can't help you with that side of things I am afraid. I know RPH dumps files all over the main folder, plus in other folders as well, so that's going to take some careful cleaning up.

so i found out what causes my game to crash which was EnableMPCars but now two new errors poped up which is

That means you have more problems. If rebooting doesn't help, then you will need to verify your files and start from clean again.

 

I used to regularly get a corrupted file after an update. Removing dinput8.dll and doing a verify used to download a 2GB update and then I could put everything back again. I could never work out what had caused the problem but it used to happen every time.

Thanks for all the love you have for GTAV. I've been modding since 1998 and know your contributions well. ON SCRIPTHOOKV I get errorrs randomly when coding Id: 27,  or 28, or 29.

I have no reference to the errors. Is there some error code list? Looked everywhere for one. No luck. Tried the Sdk but no help. N8Gamez

HELP!!!

1) Scripts do not work. I did everything according to the instructions. I wrote a simple script that when you press any key in the game, a message pops up. Did everything like on it

I go into the game, the game does not display this script.
The game was bought officially through steam.

When I start my game, and I click on the story mode, the game loads and crash saying "GTA to quit unexpectedly ...."

Hello, I'm having an issue playing the regular Story Mode either through RAGE or through the GTAV.exe. RAGE and LSPDFR all work just fine. I'd just like to play Story Mode by itself with mods. During the mission, "Franklin and Lamar," (that's where my save currently is) while I'm driving with Lamar to repo the bike, my game CTD and throws this code in the Launcher:

Windows, all drivers, .NET Framework, GTAV, and ScriptHookV are all up-to-date. Where do I go from here? There doesn't seem to be a recent and reliable fix that I can find.

Nothing needs updating as far as I know, the latest game version is 1604.1, the latest ScriptHookV version is 1604.1

 

The only time ScriptHookV ever needs updating, is when those numbers don't match. If your game doesn't work when ScriptHookV is installed, then something else in your game is broken.

 

1) Rename your mods folder,

2) Rename your scripts folder,

3) Remove ALL mod-files from the main game folder apart from ScriptHookV.dll and dinput8.dll

4) If your game still doesn't run, post your SHV log file.

how do you use this in logitech pro keyboard because every time i try to click the number lock it won't let me navigate and when i try to navigate it will just switch to different weapons and i tried is it because i download it wrong or i just put the files the files in the wrong place i read the read me and tried to navigate through but it would not let me do anything but open the mod menu

To be honest, you're probably better off switching to a different trainer, if you're using the one that came with ScriptHookV. As far as I know, the one included with ScriptHookV was more of a sample mod, to show other modders how the API and Functions worked.

 

I would personally recommend Simple Trainer V but there's also Enhanced Native Trainer and Menyoo to try. All of those are regularly updated and are more likely to be compatible with your keyboard. If they don't work, then you can probably find the authors of them on the forums here at some point and they might be able to help you further.
