It's not exactly fair to be forced to update, and now blocked from going back to an older version, especially if there are new bugs in this latest one.

From what i've heard from some people and i can't confirm this or not as it's just rumors but some people have said they were banned when they went back to an older version of the game.

 

But to go back to an older version of the game you do the following....

 

Save the game files before you update the game, Once you've updated the game force the game closed via ALT + DEL and once you get the box asking if you want to retry/safe mode then replace the new files with the old one and then re-launch the game via retry and the game should load back to the previous build

You only need to uninstall SC by running uninstallRGSCRedistributable.exe in the Social Club folder. Then installing older versions will work fine.

Knew this update was going to be a C.F. as always and wanting to avoid a repeat of what happened around Christmas (when that update broke my whole install), I simply unplugged my ethernet adapter before turning my PC on.

 

I started up Steam in offline mode, started GTA V and it took me right into Story mode with no issues - didn't have to mess around with Social Club or install/uninstall anything.

(my rig is comparatively old, so YMMV if trying the same)

You will need to wait a few days untill sir Alexander Blade the first of his house, updates, and distributes the hook. This will take a few days, some people can't wait out the winter, some go insane, some die.

Usually he has it up the next day. It won't take long.

 

But I have check www.dev-c.com. Last update was 16 of march 2016. Its been 3 month. Is it Alexander Blade the only guy who can do this thing through out the world?

Okay for those who did a backup of update.rpf, GTA5.exe GTAVLauncher.exe do the following to play with mods again:

 

BACKUP your files! (update.rpf, GTA5.exe GTAVLauncher.exe)

0. Let your game update.

1. uninstall social club ( eg. "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Social Club\uninstallRGSCRedistributable.exe" )

2. Download and install the previous version of SC http://patches.rockstargames.com/prod/socialclub/Social-Club-v1.1.7.8-Setup.exe

3. Put your backed up files back into to the game.

4. Add -scOfflineOnly to your commandline.txt in the GTAV root folder (create the file if it doesn't exist) (I don't know if this is really necessary)

5. Start your game via Steam.

I don't know what you are trying to achieve with this. IF there is another Scipthook, it would have to be updated as well. Alexander Is by far the fastest with his updates with an average of just two days.

No because you will have to block the three exe in the game directory from accessing the internet, and play in offline mode. No Bawsaq. Failing that, the game will update itself automatically..

There IS another scripthook, it's called the rage hook. No idea if this is still actively developed. What I do know is that none of the mods that are based upon this one will work with the rage hook.

easy to downgrade just replace update.rpf gtav.exe and the launcher with older versions ones

That no longer works, hence the questions to CP.

 

So to play with previous version, you have to f*ck about with deleting reg keys, uninstall SC, install older SC, block the gta.exe and launcher from accesing internet or it updates (never used to need to do this, once you swapped to the previous exe files).

 

Is that correct, or are there more steps involved to play previous v1.33 title update

 

I guess i'll wait for scripthook and use this latest patch then.
