Does for anyone work the game backup? I get a Social Club error...

So my usual trick of backing up the update.rpf, gtav.exe and launcher after update, and restoring the previous files until new scripthook is released, no longer works.

 

"The social club failed to load due to incomplete installation..."

 

Is this unique to me, or have Rockstar forced you to not be able to load game (SP) with a previous patch version?

Scroll up a few pages, there is a link to the previous SC install program, run that and it should work.

Who can upload earlier installer of Social Club? I can't play with previous patch.

Is there any way I can just remove script hook and trainer from my game completely? I don't even use it anymore. And the hype for this update was really high. And now this. Any help? It'd be much appreciated.

Really ? Lol. So playing legit on an older version is no longer possible ?

 

Time they realize that not everyone cares about GTA Online, yet paid for the product..

The only way is uninstall the game, uninstall SC, install SC and install the game. But maybe... in these steps older ver of SC will be overrrided by current one.

I uninstalled SC and the game earlier this morning, seeing no reason why it wouldn't work, and low and behold it still gives me the error message.

What i did(i have the retail version)for using the previous version whas moving to another folder the new social club install files and then reinstall the older sc version(simply uninstalling whas giving me the warning "for uninstalling the social club you need to uninstall all the rockstar applications")

You only need to uninstall SC by running uninstallRGSCRedistributable.exe in the Social Club folder. Then installing older versions will work fine.

No. This is just to install an older version of the SC launcher.

So there's no possible way for me to play online before the next mod update? I'm not whining or anything of that sort, just wanting to make sure before I abandon all hope for today, and there was actually something I could do. I have plenty of other games I can play in the meantime.

If you want to play online, just remove your mods.

 

If you don't know what to delete, this is essentially what a vanilla install looks like.

Just delete ScriptHookV and ASIloader from your main folder and you are done.

I did, I removed them from the Games folder. I still get the error. I'll try again, but I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Shouldn't that have fixed it?

delete the asi loader, can use OpenIV to do this in the asi manager section, or navigate to your GTA folder(usually C:\program files\rockstar games\grand theft auto v) then delete dinput8.dll

I'm trying to go back to the last title update before today's dlc (until new scripthook), so I can use mods.

Not sure of what version of SC installer I need? Do I just uninstall, as PieRGud suggests, then run the SC installer?

 

Not sure why Rockstar would have an issue with me playing a previous version of the game in SP on my own. Never needed to piss about with SC installers before today.

These measures never stop people modding online anyway. Just inconvinences SP users imo.

Script Hook V critical Error keeps on pop out ask me to get the latest Script Hook V update and after I do so its still same. Can anyone help me please. GTA V is nothing without native trainer. Tq

 

You will need to wait a few days untill sir Alexander Blade the first of his house, updates, and distributes the hook. This will take a few days, some people can't wait out the winter, some go insane, some die.Usually he has it up the next day. It won't take long.

Why are so many having problems, is it you just won't play the vanilla version temporarily or you don't know how. If you have been using the mods folder in Open iv and are using just script mods for the other things, simply open OpenIV click tools, click on asi manager, click 2 buttons uninstall asi manager and OpenIV asi, couldn't be easier. Waalaa you have vanilla version and play online or sp. You can do that for a couple of days, right? All this deleting, changing versions, really?

It's not that, I'm trying to just play vanilla. I barely even used the mods that much. I'm trying to delete it, which at one point I had thought I'd done successfully, but for some reason it didn't work. There's no inclination of Script Hook left on my PC, that I know of, yet it's still not allowing me to play.

You may have put your game files in "steam". If so it would be in steam/steamapps/common/grand theft auto V. Hope I helped!

One error message and my appreciation for Blade's work goes through the stratosphere, again. And again, and again...thanks!
Patiently waiting for an update so I can put mods back in. GTAO has never been for me - though I tried it for a while - SP and mods are what I like.
