Ikr, annoying as hell that we can't even play the game we want without them letting us be. I feel like someone reading a book and rockstar being the child which slaps it out of my hands every now and then.

 

Oh well, scripthook always gets updated shortly after and only update.rpf needs to get updated manually so no biggie.

My friend has the previous version of GTA installed. Which files of his should I replace with mine? What files/maps were updated by R*?

What I do is I back up my edited .metas files from the mods folder, this way i can just drag and drop when i replace the update.rpf, this works fine right? Cause afaik the vehicles/handling doesn't get changed, mostly just dlclist.xml and extratitleupdate.meta? And that's just adding a few lines in to make the game work again which is way easier than the first time where I manually reinstalled each mod I had.

one is from "lowriders2" folder, the other one from "patchday9ng".

You guys can simply download also the older files from grandtheftauto5.fr.

Thanks. I also noticed an updated set of files for the male cop model in the patchday archive. The .ytd file is smaller, but the textures themselves seem like they've barely been changed (compression seems a little different).

I have the game through Rockstar Social (bought online through digital vendor that claimed to use Steam, got a Rockstar Social code instead).

I only use the PC version for SP using mods etc, is there anyway to not download the updates on the Rockstar Social version. It's aggravating to go to play only to find out there has been an update. At least on the steam version you can tell the game not to update.

Also, can it be played offline? I know on my PS4 version, I don't need an internet connection to play SP, I just put the disc in. I'm really disliking have to be 'online' so my game can decide if I own the game to play sp.

Shame! R* seems to broke ScriptHook again via that update. I could accept it if there wasn't one thing - it again adds new content only for GTA Online!

 

If someone was hoped to be anything for SP - sorry, there is NOTHING for StoryMode at all added by this update...

 

I'm disappointed by RockStar now... all nice things from recent few updates are made accessible only in Multiplayer... I'm tired by this bullsh*t!

 

I want Story Mode mods + all nice GTA Online content together = totally impossible, NO-GO:

GTA Online = sorry, no mods allowed there, BAN!

GTA V = sorry, most of content from GTA Online is NOT accessible there without mods...

 

Seems I'm stuck now...

Just use the command line "-scOfflineOnly"

ScriptHookV will be broken after EVERY major update, don't expect something else.

...but then the new lowriders will get deleted from existence when you get close to them... or even drive them.

If I can get that to work... I can play the game without dying every 10 minutes... (I don't use train tunnels and bushes like a wuss)

Nope, it just needs an ASI Loader which always works.

 

Just modded the game some more by renaming the models and data of all the new lowriders since R* added a script that deletes all the new lowriders when they are spawned in SP (whether you see or drive them, they will vanish right in front of you). I suspect it's either mp_prop_global_block.ysc or mp_prop_special_global_block.ysc or mp_save_game_global_block.ysc script(s), but since there are no tools to decrypt those, Alexander Blade is the only one who can check these at the moment.

No, it wasn't. It modified their global accuracy value from .64 to .1, which means essentially that they have decent aiming capacity instead of being WMD wielding bad asses.

 

Without the mod, 98% of players can't hold a 5 star wanted level for 20 minutes OR lose it (without being a wuss and running into a tunnel/grabbing a tank/flying away in a plane) without dying several times

I'm working on a big project that heavily utilizes scripthookv.

I know the update broke the mod, but does anyone know the timeframe for Alexander to release the scriphookv update?

 

We have a team meeting for the project tomorrow so I want to plan accordingly. Thanks.
