How many movie cars/bikes have we got?

Batmobile

DeLorean

007 Goldfinger car

The Scramjet (Speed Racer)

Shotaro (Tron, But If you paint it black and remove the mudguards it kinda looks like the Bat bike from the Dark Knight trilogy).

What else is there?

I wanna start a collection of those vehicles. The thing is: If there’s a lot of them I’ll use a CEO garage. If there aren’t a lot of them, a 10 car garage will do.

I should clarify: cars that can be stored in normal garages. Ruiner 2000 can’t be in there.

So 7. Is that really it?

007 James Bond cars:

Argent

Stromberg (only by name and underwater ability, it looks more like Lambo than Lotus)

JB700 (classic Bond)

Specter (car 007 uses in Spectre)

XA-21 (villain uses it in Spectre)

Rapid GT Classic

Fast and Furious cars:

Jester Classic

Elegy Retro

Banshee 900R (Livery from Tokyo Drift)

Sultan RS (as above)

Ramp Buggy

Wastelander

Rapid GT Classic can be modified like Jensen Interceptor

Muscle:

Apocalypse Dominator (Death Race Frankenstein's Mustang)

Dukes (name and flag roof based on General Dee from Dukes of Hazzard)

Ellie (name and model from Gone in 60 Seconds remake)

Hermes (Hudson Hornet livery used in Cars)

Imperator (Mad Max 1,2, Fury Road)

Ruiner 2000 (Knight Rider)

Tulip (name of character driving Chevelle in Preacher)

Vamos (livery from Grindhouse Deathproof)

Sport Classic:

Deluxo (Deloean with flying ability from BttF)

Franken Stange (The Munsters)

Tornado Mariachi (the car itself isn't from movie but the event where you can obtain it is from Thelma and Louise)

Compacts:

Issi Classic (can be made to Mr Bean)

Rhapsody (Wayne's World car - the name is based on this, there's even flame fender modification)

Offroad:

Bruiser (Mad Max Fury Road)

Brutus (Tango and Cash)

Technical Aqua (Top Gear boat challenge)

Vans:

Gang Burrito (A Team)

Youga Classic (Scooby Doo)

Commercial:

Cerberus (Mad Max Fury Road)

Motorcycles:

Hexer (NPC bikers riding in formation like in Easy Rider)

Oppressor (Street Hawk)

Sanctus (Ghost Rider)

Shotaro (Tron)

Vigilante (Batmobile)

That's gotta be all. Of course you can add 9F as Audi from Iron Man but it's pretty random, I listed only design-specific vehicles. Futo won't be listed as Initiad D uses different model.

Tornado (Christine)

I'd make a distinction between GTA cars that can be made to look like movie cars, and cars in GTA that were directly inspired by movie cars.

For example, Christine is a Plymouth Fury, whereas the Tornado in GTA is more based on a Chevrolet Bel Air.

Some of the Fast and Furious collection means you’ll end up with multiples of the same car with different setups.

I know now you said movie cars, but I’ve taken to trying to replicate NFSMW05 Blacklist cars and have quite a few.

Just throwing it out there, the Fabulous Hudson Hornet was a real thing in NASCAR. several, actually. There’s no reason to assume it’s a reference to Cars. https://historygarage.com/the-fabulous-hudson-hornet/

The Roosevelt and the Valour are 1928 Cadillacs, based on the armoured car Al Capone used as his personal transportation before he was arrested. Only similar to the Goldfinger Phantom III by virtue of them both being 1920s luxury cars.

I wish there were the variant looking more like the film and the normal one, for Deluxo.

and aside from the fire chicken, you can make the Phoenix looks vaguely like the Smokey and the Bandit's Firebird

Closest you'll probably get is the topless Manana.

^ mh, ok i see. yes. Some good similarities.

But its some kind of too much "decent" looking.

My first Thoughts were: Vapid Peyote or Chino

The Coquette Blackfin is pretty close to Lucifer's C1.

Besides StreetHawk, the opressor resembles the flying motorbikes from Galactica III (Galactica 1980)
The Dukes can be used to resemble Detective Justice's  Charger from Vampire in Brooklyn, too bad there is no matching livery.

You could also make the claim that the Ellie resembles Rally’s GT500 from Gunsmith Cats, though that’s more coincidental than deliberate. And the Tropos, when painted blue, could be inspired by the OVA my username comes from.

Oh, and the Elegy RH8 is not yet mentioned as Brian O'Connor's dark blue GT-R R35 (FF7)

So here my additions in total:

  • Elegy RH8 => FF7 dark blue GT-R R35 (just keep all stock, paint dark blue with ultra blue pearl, carbon hood, titan exhaust, spoiler is a mix of stock/high level and tuner, competition suspension)
  • Coquette Blackfin => Lucifer's Corvette C1
  • Oppressor => Galactica III flying bike or StreetHawk (could not fly)
  • Dukes => Dom's Charger or General Lee or Justice's charger
  • Swinger => Austin Powers "Shaguar" (with licenence plate "Swinger")
  • Scramjet => Speed Racer Mach 5

I have a pretty big list (with cheesy tribute images) going here:

https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/User:Kiwismurf/sandbox/TributeCars

Haven't updated it in over a year though, so there's a few to add:

  • Vamos x2 for the Novas
  • Impaler for "Baby" from Supernatural
  • Imperator = For Interceptor
  • Gauntlet Classic (I had used a Vigero for the two Challengers)
  • Blista Kanjo will come in for the FnF Civic, even though it's hatch vs coupe (I had fudged a Penumbra).

There's probably a few mentioned above I haven't thought of or done, so will look at them too.

Thought this felt like dejavu...

Forgot another one:
The Hellfire has the livery (black two tone) and the bullbar of Letty's Challenger SRT from FF8, too bad you can't get rid of the splitter and there is no option for a rear light cage (bullbar) on the back, but it still gets pretty close.
