Yeah. There is whole branch of mathematics about luck. It's called statistics. It's used, beside other stuff, to design casino games. To keep people playing, but to guarantee profit for the casino. You would think, why would people do it, if they can't make money ? Well .. most people don't understand math, that's the reason. It's basically good old trade in stupidity. It's safe bet. But it also makes the business unethical, as people can't help themselves.

Entertainment. Fun.

A group of us from work go to the casino monthly. We have a feed, too many drinks and have fun at the tables. It's not a money making exercise.

Sure, if you have money to spend. I'm just against the idea you can think about playing in casino as a source of income, as replacement for 'grind' in the game.

I just went to the High Limit Blackjack table for the first time, thought "what the hell", placed the maximum 50,000 chip bet, and got Blackjack and 125,000 chips. I like how this is fixed.

Blackjack has become my favorite casino game by far.

I now bet 5k and double my bets after 2 losses. So in case of a losing streak I bet 5k, 5k, 10k, 20k, 40k. Fortunately I haven't lost 5 in a row yet, so I also haven't lost money since adopting this strategy.

I think the game is only rigged in that they allow you to split 10 and 20.

Oh boy don't get me started, I keep losing ten consecutive times every fcking day now, and this by using the Blackjack specifically designed for this table which means I effectively can't be playing the game wrong. I understand this is a game of chance and you won't be winning all the time, but this is fcking ridicolous, literally every time I have a 19-20-21 the dealer gets an higher number than me, and the two times tonight I got a Blackjack he actually got it as well!

Yeah... I know I was quick to point out in a few posts here that the games are rigged by default cause maths and the fact that house edge is entirely the point of the entire gambling business, but now I too am thinking of getting on board the "R*gged" train. I've been playing both blackjack and poker according to optimal strategy or extremely close to it, and against my playing style the house edge shouldn't be more than one percent (with blackjack it should only be around half percent, but I deviate from it just a tiny bit so the edge is a bit larger). So house should win around one bet's worth per one hundred hands, with max bet around 50k per 100 hands. Today I lost around 4.5 million chips. To get to that result I should have played 9000 blackjack hands today. Yeah, no.

I think I'm done with this DLC for now, since to me, looking at their latest panic modification of the inside track (which I haven't even bothered to play since getting back my gambling privileges after their carpet bombing of a soft banning) and now this, it looks like R* is really pushing how much tinkering of the games they can get away with.

Maybe later then, if/when R* decides to fix what they shouldn't have broken in the first place.

Yeah there's no doubt in my mind the blackjack is rigged, but even if it isn't, it's pointless to play blackjack if your goal is to win.  Even if it isn't rigged, the best we can possibly hope for over the long run is to break even.  In the short run, sure, anybody can get lucky.  But the longer you play, the less likely it will be to remain profitable.

This goes for EVERY game in the casino, except for poker (and I don't mean that silly 3-card poker rubbish game, I mean the real poker with real people in a real casino).  I haven't sat at a casino table game in over a decade, I go straight to the poker room.
