The dealer have 20s or blackjack most of the time, did they increase the probability or something? I won 2 million dollars chips from blackjack the last few days but today i barely win anything.

Welcome to gambling, where the House ALWAYS wins.

We don't know how exactly the blackjack mini-game is coded originally, meaning if they have done some changes that would change probabilities (such as removing individual cards from the deck pile or simply increased/decreased probabilities of getting cards of certain value). But assuming they did it straight up, like it is with casinos, with four or six decks with auto shuffling on after every few hands, the fact of the matter is that there is NO way to beat the house in the long wrong. House ALWAYS has an edge, even when following the optimum player strategy some people have posted in the form of card value tables. From all the games casinos offer blackjack is among the best, but even the best player will end up losing about a buck per hundred dollars they bet. Yes, you can have good nights and win big and champagne will flow and all that jazz. But even with evenings like that you are sure to end up losing. That's the science of it, that's just the way it goes.

I know we are only talking about virtual money here, but I would still offer the same advice as I would in real life: when you go to casino, decide before entering what is the maximum you are willing to lose and be prepared to do so with smile on your face. If you happen to come back home with some money or more than you had on you when you headed to casino, you can pat yourself on the pat - but never ever go betting against the house and expecting to come ahead.

Yeah man i know but I'm talking about how often the house get strong hands or the times when there are 2 exact same card for example 2 heart ace on the dealer hands so it would exceed the player hands.

i gave up on Blackjack, in the gambling thread there was a professional dealer with some tips though. Try 3 card Poker instead, fact that the dealer needs a queen or higher, which i think is weird, to play makes me think i have better chances. And the odds are more in my favour..

I believe Blackjack has 4 decks in the game 3card poker one. The less decks the better.

On the first day I've won 400k but lost it all afterwards :p Haven't recovered yet but made a 10k profit last time I've played, after quite a long fight with the dealer also. I've learned to back off when things start to get rough for my side, but I just can't accept to leave the table on a loss hahaha :p I have 21 million lying around so I can afford to lose a few hundred thousands. Plus, it's quite satisfying to recover from a losing streak and get out with my money back and a little bonus for the effort, even if a tiny one like 10k.

Why is this a surprise to anyone? This is how gambling works folks. Go to a real Casino and see first hand how many folks lose everything.

Oh dear, not this again, lol. Eh, so, again; if you're not consistently winning or all of a sudden have a bad run at the tables, that equates to it being rigged? No, that's just not true! You'll never truly know if it's rigged or not unless you can somehow tap into their programming code and figure it out from there.

What I can tell you though is that this is not uncommon; at all. I've been playing cards and gambling since I was about six years old and I've seen it all. Again, it's called "variance" and yes, the house dealer position has an edge over you, but you have to accept the fact that they can run hot, just as you can yourself. If it were all so easy, the casinos wouldn't be in business. Can you come out ahead if you stick to a goal, strategy, and plan? Sometimes, but even the most profitable professional gamblers have bad runs at the tables; the difference is they know (or should) know when to stop for the day and how to minimise their losses over an extended period of time. It's called gambling for a reason; it's risky and you are not guaranteed to win all the time nor often on a regular basis depending on how much you play. And yes, having four decks or more in a blackjack game is going to increase the odds of seeing 20s and sometimes 21s; often with identical cards, for both you and the dealer alike. If you want better odds, play single deck blackjack and learn how to count cards; until they figure out what you're doing and ban you.

Good luck! 😜

^ The annoying thing is counting into a 4-d shoe is fairly easy, especially if you can just have everything in front of you, but this f*cking casino shuffles every single deal.

True, no way to count cards there; I think some real casinos do it this way now, but in Vegas, six decks used to be the norm and it wasn't shuffled after every hand.

I have no clue about gambling parlance, so does "shuffle every hand" man shuffle after every game?

I.e. if you played with 4 players and sat last, you'd have an advantage?

All the time that I have 10 + another card, and I pick take another card, its a 10 xD I have more probability to win with a 12.

Sometimes you'll want to stand with 12; for example: if the dealer is showing 4, 5, or 6. If you're in last position, definitely don't hit (or DD) with anything more than 11 if they're showing 4-6; that's how fights break out. 😜

I'm seeing some solid tips from @-LN-, people should read these posts and try them out before claiming it's rigged :)

Also, betting lower values comes a long way in helping to control the losses in blackjack if you don't feel like leaving the table outright, that's what saved me last time I played. Came with 70k in chips, went up to 100 but entered a losing streak that brought me down to 15. Still, I didn't gave up and slowly recovered, eventually leaving the table with 80k after what probably was the most intense game I've had yet at blackjack :D Over that time, both I and the dealer got blackjacks, 21s, great and terrible hands at times, but clearly the house was getting more lucky hands than I was that night :p

There is best strategy for BJ. And that's the house rules. That's why casino is using them.

You can't analyze the code, but you can analyze the games. Except 100 games won't be enough when you have 54 cards. First metric should be if all card come with same probability, then you can study the combinations, and who gets what. And the house margin in BJ is usually around 2% (depends on how much you win on BJ). You would need thousand of games to be sure.

Another important way the casinos make money is that if you win, you can loose it again. But if you loose, you can't win it back.

I can say I play conservatively and I lose about 15 out of every 20 hands, with the odd 2 or 3 hand win streak and occasional splits and doubles. Cheating is the only solid way to make money

Ok so this is coming from someone who does pretty well when going to Atlantic City and has had a fair share of horrible days at the tables and amazing ones... my mind set is the same for GTA Online and AC: sit down with a buddy or two at a table and force the dealer to go bust. The secondary strategy is to help save the table, if that means sacrificing your own chips by taking a hit when you should stay, in order to prevent the dealer from hitting high (thusly, allowing for the card draw to be in the favor of your tablemates), so be it.

Blackjack in GTA is wonky at best and highly questionable in certain instances, but not all. Too many times do me and my friend get the same hand... now this can equate to multiple scenarios, so for the examples:

A) I get a 4, he gets a 4, then I get a 6, he gets a 6.

B) I get a 4, he gets a 6, I get a 6, he gets a 4.

C) I hit/double down and end up with 16, he hits/doubles down and gets 16

The other situation that occurs is the dealer magically getting a better 2nd card once we hit 16+  I cannot tell you the amount of times where one/both of us are sitting with an 18, and the dealer flips and reveals a 19 or 20.

On the flipside, I have had some incredibly lucky hands that if I replicated in real life, I would probably die of a heart attack. One example is this really ill-advised decision to double down on a split 20. So I was sitting with a 21 (two faces, one ace) and a 20. My friend hit up to a 20. The dealer magically hit 21, which made me laugh my ass off because this was a recurring theme of the evening.

It is extremely questionable that the system being used is 100% legit. Granted, Rockstar does not need to disclose what the system setup is like, but considering the lines are blurred with the betting since a player can infact use real-world money to gamble (in the traditional sense) for in-game money which does not translate into real world returns... it could bring up a case against Rockstar and Take 2.

Highly doubt it. When I first went to buy chips, I saw a warning that shark card money cannot be used to buy casino chips. Unless if I seriously read something wrong haha :p It popped up on the upper left side of the screen, like any other information text box

Minimize your bet after you hit big so 2 games min bet and 3rd game after win maximize bet. Then repeat every three games. Works for me about 90% of the time. I mainly bet on horses.

I’ve generally played until I make a set amount for the day, then quit. I’ve always made my target, if it takes 20 mins or it takes 90.
