Roulette is Rigged!!!!

I played over 20 games on the same regular roulette table (never got up from the table) and played $5.5k on the middle section each time....

Can anyone tell me why it NEVER landed on a number in the middle section the whole time I played? Wtf are those odds?
 

Yes I know the house usually wins but I think this casino update is Rockstar’s way of cleaning a lot of the glitched/dupe money cuz there’s NO way in hell this sh!t happens. Don’t get me started on blackjack either smh.

You want to be playing Inside Track and betting on Horse one or two, which ever has the best odds. They will win the majority of times and you can triple your bet each time. Its slow but it works.

Are you talking about the middle 12 numbers (13-24)? If so, 31.6%. However, when it comes to gambling, nothing is exactly a guarantee. Roulette as a whole doesn't exactly have the best odds for making a profit at the casino. Yea, sure, if you play enough, you'll probably eventually hit at least one of the middle 12 numbers, but what you're seeing here is variance; call it "bad luck" if you want, but it happens and chasing it when you're on a bad swing is how people go broke and how the casino stay open and profit.

 

I don't exactly agree with your concluding theory; the amounts are far too low and so are the amounts you're able to buy in chips every in-game day. Assuming there's some hidden agenda to clean out modded, glitched, or illegitimately earned money is a bit of a stretch; it's natural to start casting blame or thinking there's more to the story when you hit a bad streak, but as someone who has years of experience in casinos and with gambling in general; yes, these things do happen and they happen to us all who make the decision to gamble and play. Blackjack is infinitely better than Roulette when it comes to the edge of the house, but variance still happens there as well and there's simply nothing that you can do about it aside from riding it out, know when to change gears, or when to stop when things are really taking a turn for the worst.

Yea someone said you can back out and get better odds. Horse betting is not fool proof but so far it's the most consistent way to make money.

No, you misunderstand, it IS foolproof (over a period) in this casino

 

Horse 1 wins ~50% of the time. You can make the game give you 3/1-5/1 every race. You will not lose. 1.5m chips here .

True, I should have said consistent. The horse can lose but even at 3/1 you will make you money back

I bet if you win more than a set number of chip you trigger a cutscene where you get thrown out of the casino and can't enter in an ingame week.

 

Funny how inside track betting once again shows to be a good money maker. We all remember save scumming in GTA SA.

Technically they can't without making the cheating blatantly obvious.

The odds are set, the lower the odds the better the chance of the horse winning, even if they removed the 3/1 and 5/1 odds the new lowest odds would just have the better chance of winning. They could make it so that multiple (like 3 or 4) horses have the same odds so its harder to choose the winner but that would make them rigging the odds obvious.

All I'm saying is that these things do happen; I've seen it before myself in actual casinos, more than once. It could be rigged here, it could not be rigged here; there's nothing concrete present to establish it being rigged or not. However, I do know that when some people hit bad streaks, many naturally seem to question the legitimacy of the game they're playing. I get it. However, just because you personally hit the wrong end of a losing streak, it doesn't establish that said game is beyond a shadow of a doubt "rigged". Variance is indeed a real thing and those of us who've played long enough know what it's like to think you're cursed and can no longer win. That's all, really.

The odds of a 1 in 3 outcome (for simplicity's sake) not happening in 20 tests is 

 

⅔ * ⅔ * ⅔ etc for 20 times.

 

This is 0.0003007226453 or 0.03% or roughly 1 in 3,325. So unlikely but not impossible by any means.

On a side note, we should have gotten Bennies suit as the reward for collecting the cards. That would have been a fantastic reward and a great nod towards New Vegas.

You absolutely can lose. You're just been getting lucky  I played nothing but evens for awhile just to test some stuff and still busted, because I was "unlucky". 

In another test after a "famous" internet person made a video, I did a run of 83 races that I logged in a row (betting only the number 1 horse, sometimes evens sometimes 2/1,3/1,4/1) till I got bored, and did pretty ok. I ended up 180K with 10k bets every time but it was a serious grind.

117 wins vs 105 losses, only betting at 3/1 or better on Horse 1 (swapping the odds myself), up roughly $1.3m. Whoever made that video doesn't understand odds

There's a fundamental disparity between offered odds and observed results. Can't say it much simpler than that.

 

The key thing is YOU CAN CHOOSE THE ODDS.
