Ammo Bug - support not helping

Hi all, 

 

I have what seems to be a common bug - my ammo is disappearing from all my projectile weapons (thrown weapons are unaffected).

 

The cause seems to be my special carbine (my main gun). Using this gun causes all my other guns to need a bunch of ammo, meaning some very large ammo bills.

 

I see a lot of people recommending gun lockers as a fix - problem is I'm very low level with not much cash at the mo, so gun lockers aren't an option for me yet. 

 

I've contacted support - they replied about three hours later with an email telling me my ticket had been marked as resolved...so no help there.

 

Can anyone here recommend a fix? I've only been playing a few days, and this bug is kicking my arse.  :(
