Bad sport

Does bad sport time gets decreased while your on the game. Or just real time even if your not on the game

These days its pretty difficult to get placed into bad sport. In the early days if you nuked every personal vehicle in a ten mile radius there was a real chance you would end up there. These days with the introduction of these crazy weapons and vehicles and the introduction of freeroam businesses, they increased the amount of points required to be placed into a bad sport lobby.

Really? Because I seem to hit dodgy player status these days after around only five or six quick oppressor kills in a row, and you aren’t far off bad sport from there. 

 

I am constantly having to check, especially if I back out of a couple of races as well.

To be clear, that isn’t me destroying random personal vehicles from the Oppressor, but rather destroying other Oppressors (which are, I know, a personal vehicle)

 

I quite enjoy a bit of Mark II air jousting with willing combatants, but I have to back off just as it is getting good because I’m $60 - 70k down in insurance payouts and have become a “dodgy player”

 

I hate the bad sport system with a passion.

Well that depends, it might be more strict on PC where the world is a script kiddie's paradise. Factors such as what was used and what vehicle was blown up may affect how many points are earned.

Vehicles that make it impossible to kill the occupants with gunfire might give fewer points since blowing up the vehicle is the only way to really defend yourself. Weapons/vehicles that are infamously used for griefing could inherently receive more points for griefing behavior.

 

I do not really indulge in douchebag behavior on the regular so I cannot say with experience on how much is required to be put in a bad sport session. I can say it most likely requires more than it did years ago with all things that been added over the years that try to facilitate player conflict.

They made it easier with this update, badsport isn't really that bad tbh especially if you find a way to save the hat

I wonder if I’m always hovering just above the “dodgy player” threshold and that’s why maybe? It’s kind of crappy to be honest. The only thing I like to shoot at are other Oppressors, if only to see if they know how to chaff. Better still if they are aggravating somebody else.

If your only getting 6 or so kills before dodgy something is wrong. I also battle with the mkll like you do and can go for hours without issues. I actually counted how long it took me one day playing with friends and it was 48 vehicles before I hit dodgy.

The more you get in BS, the easier it is to get back in there. I know from experience.

Yes the time passes while you are in game. The sentence is real time though. 2 days is 2 real days, 48 hours, etc.

 

You do not have to be in game for the time to expire. When I get put there I just take a break for however many days I am up to.

You might want to make it a habit to do some contact missions every day and have some friends commend you if possible, to set you back towards the opposite end of the scale. I can spend a few hours with friends just fighting randoms and I still get the good behaviour rewards. Although I tend to only fight to back up my friends or if someone else attacks first, rather than just going after every randomer I see, so that probably helps keep me out of trouble.

Good idea. The fact that I don’t tend to play with others in co-op probably doesn’t help, because that kind of thing can boost your good sport status I’m guessing. I just doss around in freemode most of the time, either waiting to join a quick race or waiting for somebody to start a freemode job like Headhunter or Piracy Prevention that I can engage in.
