Tenacious_Dude
I was watching South Park the other day (the one where they all watch Russel Crowe Fightin' 'Round The World so they can see the Terrance and Phillip trailor, for those playing at home) and in one bit they go to watch the T.V. in the retirement. Anyone guess what it's called? Yes, it's called Shady Acres, the retirement home advertised on GTA: VC. Does anyway see what it said under Shady Acres? I was watching on a sh*tty T.V. and couldn't see it. Was it something from the Vice City ad? Yes, everyone, it's a great find. Tenacious_Dude can read. Oh my god! WidowMaker
Maybe it is just a coincidence, chances are both rockstar and those guys took it from somewhere else. Searched the web for Shady Acres. Results 1 - 50 of about 62,800. Search took 0.18 seconds from google So it's not like it's a Vice City only thing. It is a pun, you know?
Mini-Gun
That doesn't mean those guys played the game. Thet episode was released way before VC and its just a mere coincedence.
ChatterBox01
That doesn't mean those guys played the game. Thet episode was released way before VC and its just a mere coincedence. Due to the overwhelming amount of copies of Vice City sold, they probably actually have played it. Anyway, yes, it is a pun, and I have seen it used pre-Vice Cityily. CB. Mini-Gun
Due to the overwhelming amount of copies of Vice City sold, they probably actually have played it. Yes , they might have but the guy who started this thread seems to think that they got "Shady Acres" from VC. They didn't , the South Park episode predates VC so therefore SP had it first. Its not as if Rockstar invented the name "Shady Acres" I guarentee it has been used before.
Samoth
I used to think that South Park was really stupid and silly when it first came out, but now I realized just how geniusly funny it actually is.
Jaxen
Matt and Trey are funny but as said i doubt it is inspired by GTA. Perhaps the rockstar team watch soutpark PS: watch Baseketball

JagerMan
Yeah actually that episode was made about 1 year before Vice City. So they did not get the idea of Shady Acres from GTA. And I live in Flint, MI and there is a trailer park here named Shady Acres. It's a real dump.
Mini-Gun
Wanna hear something really weird? "Whispers - And The Beat Goes On" is featured in VC and Will Smith sampled it for his song "Miami". Coincidence? I think not!
