Penthouse Arcade Games - Discussion

So far I've managed to get first place in one arcade game mode and unlocked one shirt for winning a round. Has anyone been able to complete the new arcade games? Were there any other unlockables? Whats your high scores?

Ive unlocked a shirt for the terrible gang wars game (never playing that again tbh) but nothing yet for the sidescrolling tank game.
Then i visited the penthouse of a friend and he had a poster of the tank game as one of his decorations, not sure if he bought it or won it though, but couldn't find it in the casino store later.

The gang wars game wasn't that fun, agreed. This was the only item I unlocked for playing it https://imgur.com/clKRC6z. I got first place on the leaderboard and was hoping for an additional award of some kind.

The gang game requires more than one player?  I have to have someone else in my Penthouse (or go to someone else's) to play?

 

You can change the appearance of the arcade games (via the Penthouse Management) from standard arcade cabinets to small consoles on stands.  Personally, the little consoles look hideous and too small to have such a big amount of floorspace dedicated to them.  The full cabinets make more sense

Invade and Persuade II was cool as f*ck, although hard as hell, it reminds me of old school shoot 'em ups like the Metal Slug series.

 

Street Crime: Gang Wars Edition was kind of dissapointing, not only it requires more than one player, it also it's not a beat 'em up at all despite the 80's aesthetic.

Got to level 3 of Invade and Persuade, it's a lot more fun and complex than I thought it would be. Way more fun than Cross The Line, that's for sure..

the gang game requires 2 players and when you win you unlock a T-shirt. Not sure about persuade II I haven't beaten it as its quite hard though according to others there are not unlockables..

You must win one round without dying to get the tshirt.

I got a 48 in street wars by taking over all territories and killing the player in both rounds. Im not sure how to match the high score of 50.

You need to win a round without dying.

Probably there is a challenge for the tank game as well, but it is quite hard to know what to do when the game don't show what challeges we need to complete.

What does kill 100 animals at a time mean? Is there a level where you kill 100 at once? or is it killing them in one play through?

I got a random to accept my invite to my Penthouse for the Gang War shirt, but the Tank game is breaking my spirit.  After nearly 6 years of GTAO I may give up trying to get every Special Top.  I hate that tank game.

I've gotten close to the $2M one at least. No tricks. Just takes experience and some luck.

So actually I just managed to unlock all three t-shirts in my last run. Took me less than 10 attempts. Probably experience with Metal Slug and other side-scrolling shooters helped.

 

The best thing you can do in the game is to hang onto triple fire or plasma cannon as long as possible, even evading other weapons that might drop. Also my standard aim position was to where the air units appear on the screen; then when an animal pops up I'd drop down and spam the fire button. Homing missiles IMO are worse than the standard cannon. I also had luck with armor upgrades dropping when I had full health, which then turns into an extra life.

Last stage is on the moon and infinite -- continues until you are out of lives.
