GTA Online friends see me offline

I've been having this bug for forever and I need help fixing it.  Whenever I go on GTA online none of my friends can see me online and it says im offline for them but im allowed to play online.  Whenever I press start and go to the friends tab it says "friends could not be downloaded"

The game has been having alot of server issues since the update so it could be that.

The obvious thing to check would be your online status.

Maybe this mornings patch witll fix it.

This has been happening before this update and I thought after the major updates it will get fixed but it never has, and I don't know what you mean by check your online status because whenever I go online and press the HM button it shows I'm online with green but whenever I check my profile by clicking my picture it shows I'm offline with red so I don't know what that means and I'm still able to play online just not with friends which I want to do.

So when you check the profile and its red what happens when you try to change it to online, nothing?

Sounds more like a psn issue than R. Try a chat with psn and see if they can help. They should be open now. They might have you rebuild the database or something.

This is for PC not PlayStation unless psn means something else.

Ah you did not mention that. Yes PSN is for playstation.

 

For PC maybe @Gaffa will have a better answer for you.

I checked my presence visibility and its set to Everyone and my cloud save is on.
