👀 OK! What has the Diamond C&R Update Changed? 🌊🧱

Updates have been made to the ‘Go Ghosted’ option in GTA Online:

  • The ‘Go Ghosted’ option is now available to players after 2 deaths instead of 3
  • The length of time players remain ghosted to each other has been increased from 2 minutes to 5 minutes
  • The window of time for consecutive kills to count has been increased from 5 minutes to 10 minutes
  • The ‘Go Ghosted’ option is now available if the killing player is part of an Organization or Motorcycle Club so players can:
    • ‘Go Ghosted to GAMERTAG’ (if not in a Gang)
    • ‘Go Ghosted to ORG NAME’ (if in an Organization)
    • ‘Go Ghosted to MC NAME’ (if in a Motorcycle Club)
    • Players will remain Ghosted to the members of the Gang even if they disband

 

AMAZING! NO MORE BEING GRIEFED BY TRY HARD CREWS, ORGS AND MCS!!!

Honestly a great step forward, not as good as nerfing MK2 but still pretty guud, TY R*

Good stuff! they also made ghosting (the non pvp one, not the stealth one) more usefull:

Some more good news is in relation to PvP tasks in Daily Objectives--this will reduce the amount of PvP motivated by Daily Objectives:

But I wish they would fix hosts of Quick Jobs not being able to control the launch of the job they initiated--been a big issue for quite a long time.

All this sounds too good to be true really! I guess it’s what happens when the dev team gets 7 months to focus on actually improving the game rather than 3 months to just pump out new purchasable death machines.

 

I’m going to have to read through the patch notes thuroughly myself, and can someone please pinch my arm because I feel like I’m dreaming?? And to anyone who’s sad that the Savage is no longer invincible; people ”spamming rockets” have always been a threat to any helicopter just as it should be, and exploiting the Savage’s broken hitbox was precisely that - an exploit, a cheat and a cheap tactic.

 

Passive mode cooldown extended and no passive mode in/on weaponized vehicles is about 5 years later than it should be, but hey, better late than never. Simply outstanding! But time will tell how it’ll all work out.

 

Time to go make a large brew and read through these glorious patchnotes! 😁

I'll confirm for the rather small population who have MTL Dunes and Festival Buses as Personal Vehicles that the Rockstar Fun Police did NOT blacklist them with latest patch.

 

My rather large personal Dune collection still lives!

Savage never was f*cking invincible. The clumsy helicopter just had a better chance of dodging weak-tracking missiles like buzzard missiles

but it was never able to dodge deluxo missiles for example even with the bugged hitbox

helicopters have been underpowered throughout the history of GTA Online, especially since the release of the homing launcher

Uhm. Yeah, it could "dodge" Deluxo missiles. I've myself "spammed rockets" with an OpMk2 towards a Savage, and all rockets just passed underneath it. If that's not cheating I don't know what is. Then, on the other hand, I think all missiles should have the same tracking as Buzzard missiles. Deluxo, Stromberg, OpMk1+2, R2K- they all have way too good missile tracking.

 

And, it's very much possible to dodge HL missiles with a helicopter, I do it all the time with a Buzzard. But then I'm actually dodging them, not as was the case with the Savage: hovering in the air with 10-15 missiles just passing by underneath it.

Ok maybe it could dodge deluxo missiles in some situations but still the savage was very far from being op or invincible

@Sentinel Driver Yeah, "invincible" might have been a bit of a stretch 😬 as it was still very vulnerable to Mk2 Heavy Sniper with ER for example. At the same time, its explosive cannon can be considered very OP compared to those of other similar vehicles, and it's very much a real threat to ground targets. If those targets only have the HL and not Mk2 Heavy Sniper with ER, a bugged hitbox makes it an extremely difficult opponent. Anyway. I'm not sorry to see it get the same treatment as any other helicopter. I wouldn't be sorry if they buffed its armor either though.

I have a very bad feeling about Ghosted, because it was abused as well as Passive Mode in the past. There was an easy way to breach the ghosted mode, but not anymore.

 

- For example, your friend is doing a sale or a mission, you are NOT a member of his organization.

- A griefer attacks your friend, but a friend won't be able to trigger the Ghosted Mode, since he's on the job. right?

- However, if you kill the attacker, he can go Ghosted without issues

- That means, the griefer can attack your friend doing mission and you won't be able to protect him.

 

Also, what will happen if you become Ghosted to the entire Crew (imagine MP3)? If you get killed by a player that is NOT on the mission - does it mean that you can "Go Ghosted" and ruin the supplies/product of ANY of his crewmember without any resistance?

The fact that passive mode doesn't work on weaponized vehicles anymore is a HUGE blow on griefers and tryhards and a BIG win for us, and it's gonna change the combat a lot from now on. Wanna see how tryhards will react when they realize they cannot abuse passive in a jet anymore or in a opressor.

Rockstar added a new game mode to Socialclub called "King of the Hill".

King of the Hill is a mode that takes place in the arena where players driving Contender vehicles compete to capture Hills to earn points.

This will be a mode we can create from the creator, also survival creator.
