Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire Appreciation Thread

...heh, with the bumper/spoiler/decal options, you can make a decent approximation of Letty's off-road Challenger from Furious 7:

 

 

 

 

 

Not sure if I'm feeling like that much of an asshole to do mine like that - I'm still leaning more towards 'Baby Driver 2.0', with the same look as my regular Gauntlet (which I'm loathe to get rid of, since it's rather fun as a daily driver).

Don't get rid of the OG model. Nice to just keep around, even for nostalgia sake. I'mma keep mine, I'd barely get anything for it anyway so it's not worth selling.

Really, the only difficulty I have is whether to have one modern Gauntlet for each of my characters (both done up in the same overall style), or both on the same character, done up differently (i.e. the neon green monstrosity above). Leaning towards the former for now...

 

But yeah, the original Gauntlet just drives too nicely for me to ever let it go - I've had it for a couple of years, and it's perfect for contact missions, Sightseer, and general joyriding. Weirdly enough, I find the same with the Demon and Hellcat in Forza Horizon 4 - the Demon might be the beefier of the two, but the Hellcat makes for a much more satisfying cruiser, almost more like a grand tourer.

 

 

Even so, though, I've just realised that the redesign more or less eliminates the NuCamaro influences from the Gauntlet (save for the overall shape of the rear lights), which is definitely a good thing. If R* had only ever released this car, and the original Gauntlet had never existed, I'd probably have assumed they'd just taken a regular Demon, and made some minor tweaks (like swapping the quad headlights for more a more conventional pair). It's remarkably close to the real thing:

The gauntlet hellfire design looks more detailed looking more closely like the rear thing. The original gauntlet design especially the rear was poorly done and so is the front. The gauntlet hellfire is just a masterpiece!!!

You know what this bastard means? Rockstar’s willing to go back and redo 2013 launch-era cars and make better versions of them. They’ve hinted at it with things like the Comet SR and the Roosevelt Valour. But in this update we have 3 cars designed to essentially displace what they’re based on. The Hellfire, the Paragon, and the Issi Sport all render obsolete their original models. There’s a good chance things like the Rapid GT and Coquette C7 could all have updated improved models in the future. Bison, Gresley, Blista, Mesa, Infernus, Dubsta, Elegy, Cavalcade. All could easily be replaced in the near future.

I’d rather the ZR-1, like they did with turning the Comet into a 997 GT2 RS with a bit of 991 GT2 RS. Put it in the super class. Then add the C8 as the ‘Coquette M8’ or something.

I want them to redo the Comet Retro Custom into a Classic stock model, and a more accurate VW Bus and Bug.

 

I hope they don't take long with that, but I'm willing to drop good money on all of them.

As some of you may know, I'm a huge fan of lore-friendly details such as the badges, trim and actually any vehicle-related lore so I'm here to ask: any ideas on what the "A/C" badge means? at first thought, it means "Air Conditioner" but it doesn't make much sense when we analyze it; it's of course a reference to the real-life "R/T" where R means Road, / means & and T means Track, so this badge detail must have a similar meaning. 

 

Speaking about badges, I miss the SEMI engine detail in newer Schyster & Bravado models. It should be used instead of the generic Turbocharged one, there was a lot of lore-friendly details in GTA IV vehicles, but it's almost lost now.

There was a SEMI parody of HEMI? That's awesome, I never knew that! Which older models have it? GTA 4 really was great with attention to detail.

 

Also maybe the A/C means "Amazing Car", "Acceleration Craziness" or "Arduous to Control"
