Don't forget the Ardent that became the Stromberg ...

The Stromberg is a worse representation of a Lotus Esprit imo. I mean they did give it the underwater capability like the Bond Esprit, but aside from that the Ardent is a far more accurate Esprit(albiet the later model rather than the early one).

Totally agreeing with you here. The Stromberg is more a first gen Countach look alike.

It looks like the fusion of the Wet Nellie (James's Lotus submarine)

And the Lamborghini Countach ZA1 (An real amphibious Lamborghini Countach, which is really badass and beautiful in my opinion)

We spoke about that earlier, and yes indeed an updated Vigero would be really nice, along an updated Dukes.

By the way, i entered in the casino and there is no Thrax to be found, instead there's a Turismo Classic !

This is awfully off topic but to my eyes it's a near one to one replica of the Lamborghini Bravo concept car

Awesome bro, show me the whole car!

Like said, it's on base coat as I have it under restoration (one of my few projects, but the main project)

Unfortunately, it's basically impossible to actually show the WHOLE car... since I've crammed it in such a tight spot, because I need space to work on the other, removable parts of the car (fenders, hood and trunk lid) I end up doing the bodywork in two steps, first I finished and base painted the actual body shell (doors are new) and now I've been working on those fenders, lids etc....

My camera doesn't have wide enough lens basically...

dEV5Hur.png

If the rocker panel looks weird, there's some tape left, that was covering the floor while being painted.

I always emphasize that "pony car" term and for me, a pony car should kinda have a small engine, preferably a six cylinder... I know it sounds stupid and literally everyone who sees my car, first wonders how can it still have the six cylinder, followed by; "so... what kind of V8 you're gonna put in there?" I'm like; It's not a muscle car! (I do have couple cars with V8 too)

USA Ford's I6 have an "integrated intake manifold", so I have modified the cylinder head, made a custom manifold and added three side draft Webers. I'm pretty sure this has not been done before on these engines? I have seen triple carbs that work in progressive, and they are all connected by the same manifold. (I now this sounds confusing, but the Ford 170/200 cid has a weird cylinder head) I have not started the engine yet with this set up, since couple parts are still waiting to arrive.

It will be painted white, but it used to be red. This is image couple years back, when it was still running...

rRd1YRF.png

QUICKLY BACK ON TOPIC!

Challenger is so "aggressive" looking, so I probably try make it look as tame as possible. If we could only get Benny's wheels and those THIN white walls...

Awesome stuff man. I had a white '67 coupe with the 6 cyl in it as well. Very long time ago before smart phones so I don't have any digital pics of it lol. I'm sure there are some modified 6 cyl cars out there, but I have definitely never seen one with the triple side draft Weber's on it. Very cool. Mine was entirely stock, just maintenance stuff.

The car did eventually get a red C stripe on the side and some GT wheels though.

Anyways yeah can't wait for this Gauntlet.

Damn I love that, you see big V8 Mustangs with gun metal rims at every car meet so I love that someone is taking a step into the complete opposite direction and actually rocking it with hubcaps and a straight six. Also honestly the Webbers combined with the straight six give me vibes of Euro sports cars of the time and that's seriously cool, love what you're doing with it.

Edit note: I obviously appreciate the bigger sportier muscle Stangs, the Shelby models are some of my favourite American cars period but it's just nice to see variety, not every Mustang needs to be the same.

I might have to move my Fords from my Ford/Dodge section of my nighclub garage to my miscellaneous GM section to make room for a few of these beauties. There are about 3 times the amount of GM based muscle cars in the game currently than there are Dodge or Ford ones. I have an entire 10 car section full of Chevy and Pontiac muscle cars alone(mixed Chevy and Pontiac so I could put my Vigero, Nightshade,  Phoenix and Ruiner together) and about 5 non-Chevy/Pontiac GM muscle cars.

Oh, and this is for sale at a classic car dealership near me. For those who can't read the card, it says "1970 Challenger, 383ci auto, factory AC, 86,000 miles, numbers matching, c/w build sheet, rare gator vinyl top". Oh, if only I had $50k...

Oh man i wish so much i lived in America ... You have no idea how traffic is different here ... Here in france there is almost nothing worth interest on the streets.

Around here everything is scaled down. Here you just find Fiats, Opels, Renaults, Peugeots, Volvos etc, and when it gets just a bit sporty or classy, You will find only three brands. Audi, Bmw and Mercedes.

It's like nothing else exists besides.

But since now i finaly found out what i want to do and i made contacts with good peoples, many of them having car collections.

On my last set i had a Zebra3 Gran Torino, apparently a very rare model, because it was actually built by ford for the police, so it was a real police car at the time !

It has all the equipment of police cars of the time and there are special police badges on the sides and on the middle of the dashboard. It was never restored so it was in a very charming "worn off" condition.

The thing was running really smooth. I would put some pictures of the car if i could but i didn't asked the man, but since i'm gonna get it back for reshoots, i'll ask im (just a question of politness y'know) if he sees no problem with that (i'm sure there will be no problem)

But when i will have the money i allready know what i'm aiming for. A 73 or 74 - 76 Torino. Probably gonna get an old one for not too much, gonna paint it the craziest red i can get and completely rework the engine !

My cousin will probably help me a bit. I want it to run fast and angry. I also know the boss of ... Well in fact the biggest american Garage of Europe, This is the main hall.

The place is called Us Madness

2019-08-02-044545-lrgd.png

This place is gigantic. The boss (a very cool dude) Has a Plum crazy Challenger, one or two 71 - 73 green Buick Riviera, a two tone black and yellow custom made Chevy truck with pinstripe and flames all around it,

and many others. So if me and my cousin can't mend something, i know where to ask for some help !

So, @Mach1bud When you just gonna rename this: "GTAForums Car Guy Thread?"

I ain't got a bone to pick about it. It just shows the serious demographic the GTA-ified Challenger appeals to!

At least it's brought the right people throwing nice cars out there even if it's a tad off topic. So a bunch of guys started talking about various muscle cars and how some could be made better. Rockstar withheld this from us for yet another week so in the end it's their fault the hype train for this car has jumped a few tracks. You can tell this is the most anticipated car from this update considering it has more pages and views than every other casino car thread so all of this is part of the pre release hype. It seems tolerated so no harm no foul.

Part on topic, man would this be sweet with a convertible option. But it's still getting my personal Car of the Year award.

Some performance lowriders would be nice, R* has been killin it lately with muscle cars so it would be cool to have best of both worlds.

Yeah, the one with the blower was beastly. Not really sure what's up with the Angry Birds, I guess the owner just thought it would be funny, though it would be more fitting for a Firebird.

I read about it in I think Hot Rod mag, then saw it at a friends house when watching it. That movie made no godamn sense, sometimes I think guys wanted an excuse to shoot footage of some cars back then.

That's exactly what I had in mind with mine... vinyl roof, few mods, nice color... I love the stock wheels that they gave the Gauntlet Classic so I'm not worried about that.
