Red Dead Redemption Remake DLC

I don't believe that R*, or the writers (i.e. Houser and co.) to be exact, have a trust issue to go back and rewrite Redemption just to mention Arthur in a few occasions. There's absolutely no reason to do so as both stories complement each other well, and whatever inconsistencies believed by a group in the community usually stem from misinterpretation of the events or some pieces of dialogue. What else is there to rewrite? In the eyes of Dan Houser, I reckon. it's a complete package. Other than this, there's no reason to remake a game that is still playable by today's standards and which is also available in 4K on Xbox One.

I think people are really setting themselves up for disappointment believing this. there is no credibility in that Reddit post, yet small news sites & clickbait YT channels are spreading it like wildfire. I would love a remake but there’s just nothing to make me think it’ll ever be a thing.

I mean this has been theorised by many for a while, there were lets say "leaks" that they'll remaster/remake RDR1 as RDR2 DLC sometime around launch. What this guy is saying isn't an original thought, even that cowboys vs aliens stuff has been theorised/wishlisted for RDR2.

I mean theres a reason why there are jokes such as "my uncle works at...." i think its more that people want it to be real. I want it to be real as well same with the pc version but here we are 9-10 later and still not a single word of it...

Pretty much- given Rockstar communication standards (stuff gets released when it does, but don't dream too big), you're just hyping yourself up for no reason if you believe in all the behind-the-scenes stuff.

 

Like where did all the Jack voice line stuff end up? Or all that speculation about Online being fixed leaving beta?

 

Believe it when you see it from Rockstar, IMO.

a rockstar employee is a mate of mine from college and he told me all about upcoming rdr2 dlc during a ecstasy high we had at a party 

 

anyways he told me there would be no rdr1 remake but that they were working on a alien dlc which starts off in ambarino with four aliens gang rap...
