read page 1, first topic, i guess were supposed to do things in order like first job, then in free mode call for casino work, then back to the missions, etc.

Mmm...disagree. I mean, I’ve hosted them several times already helping friends out but none of us read the newswire as HAVING to host all six again. 

 

This whole situation is a big game of phone tag where the details start getting fuzzy or grandiose the further down a person repeats the information to another.

Im actually doing an experiment. My secondary character has only hosted once and helped once. So it’ll be interesting to see what’s really going on with the requirements.

This is just my opinion but, I'm pretty sure this "tier" program doesn't actually exist. This is Rockstar being clever with their words to attempt to fool people into thinking there is a progression system and causing confusion. Based on what I've checked out, you simply have to complete what is listed in each "tier" to get said reward. There's no indication that you are actually a "tier member" anywhere because there are no actual tiers and there's no building progression. With that said, I'd imagine the majority will have only 3 "tiers" completed (one of them being Diamond having "skipped" one of the earlier ones) since most don't know about the Agatha freeroam jobs and most probably don't even know this "tier" program exists, as it was never advertised in the damn game. Very poor on Rockstar's part. I personally took the time to simply platinum every stat award in the DLC so I should get everything if I'm right.

Thanks. I wonder what time zone does R* go by, and whether I still have the time to at least finish the story missions for the Platinum Tier. It's 7:23 AM of August 8th here already, and all I know is that 'generally', there's about ~8 hours difference between us and 'America' as a whole, even though there are several time zones in the USA...

Usually the event week changes 3-4 hours from now, so you'll probably have time until then.

Trying my hardest, thanks! God, going with 'hard mode' while not having any serious experience with this game was a bad idea. Took me and some unfortunate soul like 20 attempts for the 2nd (recover Thrax) mission.

that mission is pretty easy if you can catch up to where the car slows down, and then be ahead of it and shoot out the driver..,

else shoot from the corners but not in cover..,

and if you do use the cover mechanics, like in some missions, do less aiming.., unless you can.., or need to..,

else your health is wax paper..,

I hope I didn't really have to do every casino mission as a helper as well as a host to get the e cola livery for my S80RR. I only did them all as a host but I think I missed helping out with the mission where you beat people up on the casino floor.

Not sure whether the people who played with me visit this topic, but thanks for carrying me through the last hard missions. I'm not sure how a team of proper fresh lvl<30 noobies without any serious weapons are supposed to dispatch hordes of helicopters and such without assistance of at least one higher-level player... But oh well, my fault for not choosing 'Easy', maybe it would've been much easier indeed.

 

Still, I'm afraid ~30 minutes ago was definitely not 7th August in the USA already, so RIP my Platinum status.

since the launch d idnt happen at 12am pst..,

and it's possible if they know what they are doing..,

it's just headshots, stopping their flow.., and generally firing, no aiming, from cover..,

or ragdolling..

True that... Well, in my case, not only am I very squishy due to low stats of actually fresh player, not only have I not played through GTA V story mode, not only am I completely not used to shooter games, not only am I completely not used to shooting with gamepads at all (making that part of RDR2 a nightmare, while everything else feels easy and comfortable), I'm also sick with a fever! So I have an excuse, I guess.

 

But in any case, I hope I'll be able to git gud. Last time I seriously played any shooters was Q3 Arena some time around... ~2003 I guess? Back then my young hands didn't feel so much pressure when having to railgun someone jumping around the space levels. 

 

I digress - hopefully I didn't ruin the day of those who had the 'pleasure' of playing the missions with me, and who knows, maybe I did complete them in time after all.

There's a clue in the fact that hard mode pays 1.5x instead of the usual 1.25x, the casino missions are basically part of the 'end game' missions they've been adding in the last few DLC, they are actually aimed at ppl with a high level (idk what actual level they aim for but lets just say its something like lvl250+) because the higher your level the higher your health. High level players can pretty much melee their way trough a gunfight with normal NPC's, but they will still die in 2-3 shots from these tougher NPC's that the last few DLC included. (And as somebody that mostly plays PVE i totally love this, gimme more of these harder missions)

Simple awnser: You're not really supposed to play them until you reach level 120 or so at the least (the point where you unlock all weapons) but R* keeps shying away from locking people out of missions based on their level.

Dont worry you'll 'git gud' soon enough, just get used to the controller (i guess you should also just accept that since you're on a controller you should prolly use the aim assist stuff) and remember that as a low level your best weapon is cover. That said opinions vary on if GTA is even a shooter, and at the very least its not the kind of shooter most people try to get good at, if you want raw shooter gameplay theres newer quake's unreal's counter-strike's call-of-duty's etc etc, GTA (while having plenty of shooter parts) is more then that.

Last Monday i finished the "Casino Heist" as Host, the Week before already as Member.

I bought the Penthouse, with some Rooms and Membership on the Release Day.

 

But i dont get the Bonus 250k Cash (and the Special Wall Picture)? Did i miss something?

it's getting alil off topic.., but a good way of learning is doing most things in hard anyways..,

except for a few.., like that damn valkyrie in resupply missions, or that Hunter in ____

 

R* probably doesn't lock it either cause of weapons since get go..,

 

and they know it was on hard.., it's why they mention it..,(if they didntnwant it.., they would of switched)

 

though I guess me personally.., I like a bit of struggle(but I hate BS, like opII)

just know, if it costs alot of money, it'll probably require some minimum gear..,

 

and GTA changes depending on platform and aim type..,

auto aim is more tactical..,

free aim is more skilled..,(tactics are more focused on positioning, and pre-emptive)

assisted aim, it's not full in either, but more free aim..,

(is suggest take a loot at the simple or complex reticle option, it may help)

Rockstar Support said you're a valuable player, so I guess you could always ask them for it again.

 

Seriously though if you completed the requirement before the event week changed, you might still get the reward.
