Vinewood Casino Farewell Thread

This is the Vinewood Casino Farewell Thread. On July 23, the Vinewood Casino will be replaced by the Diamond Casino & Resort. You can use this thread to say your final goodbyes to this beloved Los Santos landmark. Here, I decided to take one last selfie with the Vinewood Casino.

 

 

Yes, I know the Vinewood Casino will probably still be viewable in single player, but the feeling won't be the same since single player is in the past now.

I've always loved this area, the dirt area you can drive into behind it (not the oval) makes for an excellent location to stage demolition derbies.  We've been talking about this place since 2013, it'll be nice to finally make it inside after all these years.  Also nice to see your fashion sense is congruent with your car styles, GG.

I've been taking screenshots and snapmatics when I pass by the casino for a few weeks now because I was sure they would change the exterior. Took a really cool one last week with the vinewood sign in the background. I'll have to post them tomorrow evening when I can get on to upload them to social club

I liked this building more. Just not too crazy about it's color palette. The new building architecturally speaking is plain looking and doesn't seem to have much style, like almost every new mid rise building built in the last decade...

there always story mode, i doubt the story will reflect the new look of the casino.

Its probably gonna not be there in deathmatches and sh*t so it wont interfere with some in that area

You know, I'm gonna miss looking at this area and thinking, gosh would a payday style heist here be so cool. That will never come to light neither. Nor will countless heist scenarios or criminal money making schemes see the light of day at this point in GTA Online. It's sad really to have just seen so many awesome ideas go down the drain all partly due to poor execution mongered from a nearly whore-ish need to extort the playerbase for millions of dollars.

Goodbye old building, it's been very fun seeing you every single day via drive by. Had a death match job in the back, loved racing in the back on the horse track with off road cars. Had so much fun memories there with my friends, family and crew.

I've been pretty disappointed by the upcoming removal of the old Hollywood Park inspired casino, especially seeing as the new building is such an ugly blob, though in preparation for this update, I've been listening to much of the jazzier pieces from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack. Some casino mood-setting stuff, smooth and classy. And it's reminded me of one of the major lessons of the series - whatever happens, happens - so I'll take it in stride and not bother myself over the loss. See you, space casino.

Giants isn’t a human...Giants is an idea, a belief, a spirit of the 21st century. It cannot die if we believe in it.
