I doubt anything will be exclusive to winning, the countries that cannot gamble will still be able to buy the penthouse and go on the floor, just not partake in the games, and they will also be able to buy everything available.  I also think they can still earn Chips by completing the side missions to spend in the casino store

I simply stated that I noticed the lack of new muscle cars, not that I am unhappy with the update. I am extremely hyped and I think it all looks awesome. I am just hoping that my favorite part of any GTA update, the cars, will have something to offer my personal taste.

 

That said, we got an update 6 months ago with more muscle cars than ever before and I was/still am very grateful for it. If this update happens to not include any muscle or vintage cars, you won't see me throwing any temper tantrums. I will still wish there had been some though.

 

I bet we get one or two however.

Now that I've finally had time to watch the trailer a couple times and gone through the website, here are my thoughts and reactions. (Put in a spoiler tag because I wrote a mini novel)

 

 

 

1. To all the naysayers who said Rockstar would never make changes to the map/mini map: suck it 

2. I feel like this place has the potential to keep me entertained for a very long time. I was looking for something to do while my other businesses made money and I think this is definitely it.

3. I see the rooftop lounge working one of two ways: it could either be in a giant bubble so you can't be hit by rockets, or (least likely) when you enter the casino you're put in a separate lobby that only contains the people in the casino and resort. So there will be no other players outside of the casino in the lobby.

4. I could be wrong and over thinking this, but Rockstar never specifically mention that we'll be getting just a 10 car garage. They said something about storing 10 hypercars, but it might not be limited to just that. Speaking of garages:

5. I'm curious what the difference is between the parking garage and the penthouse garage.

6. I like that they've incorporated story missions into the update, and they sound like they actually push the storyline of the casino instead of just being random fetch missions that don't really have a ton to do with the storyline.

7. I find it ironic that they mentioned on the website something like "who needs to go to a nightclub when you can bring the party to you"

8. It sounds like they're really trying to put everything from online into one place in the resort (shopping, hairstylist, clubs/parties, bars, etc.) So I wonder if the office space will finally bring all our businesses in one place where we can source, supply (buy), and check progress all from one computer

9. I highly doubt they'll dripfeed the casino games. The grand opening of the casino should have everything it's going to have, dripfeding games would make it feel unfinished on launch

10. Even though we didn't see much of it in the trailer, I'm hopeful for new clothing options (mostly high end dresses and suits) and hopefully a wide range of cars with some fan favorites

Well ladies and gents, it's been a long, long journey to get to this point and I didn't think we'd ever see the end. But we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! It's been quite the roller coaster ride, but I look forward to lunch day!

For a different game 'World of Warships' there was a chance to get ships in lootboxes for Christmas. And some people emptied about $200 USD into the game to get 1 $30 USD ship.

I'm just hoping for a few things:

 

1) Whatever or however things are implemented, please be solo friendly or at least not require multiple players within a forced public lobby.

Can anyone who has linked their SocialClub accounts with their Twitch Prime accounts confirm they have claimed the Master Penthouse yet? I claimed the reward that was available today (GTA bucks and in game gift), but when you expand what is included there is no mention of the Penthouse.

 

And yes, I already claimed the first round of items when it was first announced. So is it tomorrow that the claim will be posted and we have to act?

At this point the timeline is so skewed there is no point of trying to keep track. Yes, at first Online was set 6 months prior to the main story of GTA V (hell, it even paid off on the dialog about Lamar stealing gas), but the Doomsday Heist has thrown it further past the main story. Also, with this one, it retcons a lot considering Chang is dead by the end of GTA V and now he is alive. Logically, the only way this would fit into the timeline is if they were to go into singleplayer, add the casino, and then say it is set during the events of GTA V. That would mean allowing for the 3 protagonists to go in and use all the features, which I do not see happening.

 

No point of paying attention.

1. "Here at The Diamond, we’d rather say that destiny favors those with a full membership." Did you get the full membership? You will have a sligthly chance of winning something better than people who is a normal guest (self-explanatory).

2. "Spin the wheel once a day..." Free daily spin every day to keep the players coming back to the game at least 15 minutes?

3. "...and you’re guaranteed a massive dose of self-importance every time." Every spin has a prize, you "never" loose, like the Arena War Wheel.

I doubt they would lock content behind a mechanic that not every player will have access to, you will also be able to buy the cars you can win on the wheel, but, if the wheel is available to those that can not gamble, a la the arena wheel, then maybe

1.The casino timeline start from 2012 and end in 2013, Tao Cheng got killed in later of game like the barehead Avon Hertz and we take control of casino.

2.The casino timeline from 2019, Tao Cheung survived the assault and cooperate with us as partner(um....he and his father gang refuse to cooperate with Trevor Philips Enterprises.....a 4 man band but cooperate with our 1 man company?serious?)

 

Anyway, his name :Tao Cheng (Chinese: 陳陶) maybe a parody...

 

In Chinese ,

 

Casino is 賭場 (du chang)

 

City with big Casinos( Gambling City) so call du cheng 賭城

That's my take too. Then of course, after winning a car, you are offered the opportunity to upgrade it for more GTA$. 

 

In game gambling: I think there are two ways of looking at this from the R* strategic perspective.  Either they want to make the most out of a relatively unregulated gaming finance model while the good times are still here, or they are testing the edges of regulation to see how much they can squeeze that golden goose and to understand how much squeezing can be applied in the future.

 

A third and more outlandish possibility is that they have just pushed the nuclear button on GTAV Online; this is the self-destruct option that will bring in a sh*tload of cash and then promptly they expect that it will all be shut down.
