What? No! It doesn't take place in an alternate universe. I'm not gonna say much because I don't want to derail the thread but I have to clear up information that is not factually correct. . Rockstar has confirmed GTA: O takes place in the same universe as GTA IV and GTA V. The timeline has just moved up to present day. Trevor being alive today in GTA: O proves that either Option C or the option to kill Michael are the canon options, with option C being more likely to be canon than the other option to kill Michael because of how it fits. ULP doesn't have to be killed to pass the mission in story mode which means the option to let him live is canon. And the stuff with Lester and the scores and what not don't mean anything. Look at how much Arthur was mentioned in RDR 1. 

 

Don't mean to derail the thread but don't spread wrong information that is not factually correct.

When online came out and you started a character, it said ‘ten years ago’ on the screen before you load in to Online with your character.

I doubt there will be new weapons, it got boring using same arsenal, they could at least include mk2 variants for those weapons that don't have that options. I'm not an expert, but i think it's a lot easier to model new weapon with some upgrades than new vehicle.

I just noticed we may not be able to play against other players. In the newswire it says "play against the house in three card poker, blackjack, and roulette." I dont think it shows or mentions us playing against others.

you can choose to kill him aswell,but it's optional.

 

so in rockstar's mind tao did not die in that mission.

he's in the car with wei cheng, and the gold medal objective requires you to blow the car up, which would mean they'd both be dead if the gold medal objectives are canon

It doesn’t really matter either way anyway. I doubt most people give it a second thought.

Speculation! (wait, wrong thread) 

 

The Limo service will 'warp' you to a place of your choosing on the map, rather than driving there taxi-style. You walk to the concierge-desk, request a limo, there's an animation of you / your crew entering the limo and it driving away from the casino. You then are shown pulling up to your destination and getting out, with the limo despawning after that cut-scene. 

I guess this because: 1) NPC drivers are rubbish. 2) without invulnerability / armed support, your limo would be a sitting duck sat in traffic. 3) Rockstar wouldn't want NPCs all over their map. 

 

More speculation! (still the wrong thread?) 

 

Apart from 'juicing' and getting ripped in the gym, remember that our friend Brucie also had an interest in high-performance vehicles and tuning whilst he was in Liberty City. Maybe a hint towards the future? Either in this DLC or the next?

I'm glad Rockstar went the extra mile with this DLC by remodeling the building and everything. It looks great. I didn't think they'd do it but they did. It's also really nice to have a big new place to visit in Los Santos. Hope they do more map updates in the future.

Im sure you wont be reinstalling the game, since you never uninstalled it in the first place.

pretty sure that was just the prologue text for north yankton. I'm a launch player myself and don't remember anything like that, only some hints that online started a few months before V's story with a few "limited edition" cars like the Z-Type and Stinger GT
