Gambling between players in GTAO just sounds like a way to give each other money. Which is probably what R* thought as well.

OK enjoyed yesterday and now have a fully kitted apartment with decorations all new cars and played all missions and VIP work from Baker and have some new clothes so prey tell what's the point of gaining more chips now? 

 

As I thought ... Excitement and enjoyment initially now apart from drip feed it's over for me as no interest in costumes or the collecting cards.

 

Luckily I never expected too much so from yesterday's 8/10 I am now a 6/10. 

 

Yet to host a party and use cleaning or valet but most now done

If so, indeed, @Spider-Vice...or now we are even in the field of "it's not allow to play a game that have features that simulate gamble"? I think that would be dictatorial.

It's still better than the Yacht and the cars are great so to me it's not a failure.  5/10.  I'll never do those missions.

So I finally got to host Casino contact mission "Loose Chang" And the next one in the online casino story popped up.

 

Will they all be available to play from the job list, once done them all?

 

 

really need some GTA professional players to play through the Ms Baker jobs  with …… no disrespect to our collection of day to day players in free roam, but they don't always care about what they are building on the GTA profile.

Yes I believe we get it at a later time, not instantly.

I kinda agree, but I also think that it's not as black and white as that. 

 

'Real' online casinos sometimes also use their own virtual second currencies and point-based promotions that don't involve cash, but aside from that there are regulatory concerns about kids gambling in games (even if real money isn't involved at that part in the supply chain) and let's face it, GTAO has never been strict on its 18+ policy. Then there's the another concern about vulnerable people being financially exploited.

 

See here for example, published coincidentally the day before this update. It's not specifically about GTAO, and it's only for one country of course, but in general more and more political attention is being paid to gambling in video games.  

 

That's not necessarily a bad thing I think, it's almost totally unregulated and quite wild-west at the moment, but figuring out how to regulate this foggy mix between gaming and betting is in its infancy and so you're probably going to see over-reactions and misunderstandings from time to time, particulalry from those responsible for making the laws.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but a quick search in this topic for "Safe" didn't return anything so....I just noticed this in my safe in the Casino office, and now also in the Company office safe, the two top shelves are empty, and on the middle one is a single casino chip for $50

As you can see with the money strewn about the office at the bottom of the image, I'm far from poor that they would be empty normally, I guess this is a RockStar joke about us blowing our money at the Casino, I like it, I can see the humor of it.

They did.

 

Playing poker takes you into a separate lobby out of freeroam. You can't join public tables with friends or posse members and both in game and party chat is disabled. I don't even think you can see the other players game tags when at the table.

 

Yeah, in the very small likelihood two players who know each other ended up on the same public table they could use a third party messaging app to communicate, but R* have taken all reasonable steps to prevent players cooperating.

Guys, i think the people that can't gamble and are thinking in use a VPN, this questions are important, can someone help us out here?

1) If players use a VPN it's really a free ticket for the hyphotetical banlist land?

2) Let's say you use a vpn, you get chips, then you enter your gta next time without a vpn, your chips are removed? Bcz i couldn't even get chips via free mode casino jobs, they toke my 7 chips away. xD
