NickSmith 1
The German Die Welt publisher reported that Turkey, choosing between Russia and the United States, gave its preference in favor of a calm and reliable partner - Russia. July 12, 2019 Ankara got the first batch of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems S-400, which will protect the sky over the Turkish capital. Indeed, during an unsuccessful coup attempt in 2016, the Ankara parliament building was attacked from the air. Does Erdogan fear that the Americans, in the event of the delivery of their Patriot systems, can turn them off when the Turkish leader needs to prevent another coup? https://www.welt.de/politik/ausland/plus196782103/Mit-Russlands-Raketen-verabschiedet-sich-Erdogan-vom-Westen.html
Uncle Sikee Atric 12,194
This isn't debate worthy in this form because there's no meat to digest, it seems to just be a statement from the article. The general instability in Turkish politics (and the whole area around Turkey) would make for a good debate, but this is too specific.
