I think it was announced separately from the upcoming features in the summer update, but I'd imagine that you're probably right. I think it was mentioned during a later event week with them saying they were listening to our feedback and that they would also be introducing the change to where it would remember our settings (in regards to offensive or defensive) when changing lobbies and the like. I've decided that I likely won't be using this feature though; as much as I would like to change maybe one or two very minor things, I'm definitely not interested in resetting my entire appearance and risk being unable to recapture my initial look and settings. I'm the same and even though I don't think my character is perfect I've got used to how she looks and it would be strange to me now if she started to look different. And even a small change can make a big difference. I also wouldn't trust the feature enough not to totally mess up my character. We have seen how rockstar are able to mess up even the simplest of features like saving outfits. Karen Daniels Posted July 14, 2019 Share Posted July 14, 2019 I ended up making my character a total of 3 times thanks to the horrible character creation from launch. The first time, she looked like a longer-faced Michael Jackson in-game when she looked more like Helen Hunt in the creator. The 2nd time, she looked like a 12 year-old and that creeped me out. The third time came out the best, but I see too many other female characters that look similar and I just wanna get my toon looking more unique like I achieved in GTA O. Same! ☺ I kinda gave up on the saved outfits in this game; mine kept vanishing and I never went back to make them again. The whole thing works so much better in GTAO; where you can just instantly change into them through the interaction menu. I only started over once with my RDR persona; it was during the first week of release, so definitely before they changed the presets and sliders. I suppose that I was fortunate; I haven't noticed much of a change to my original look, just that my chin seems to look a bit different at certain angles and in a few pics, but that's definitely not enough to make me want to start over again! So if we do have to reset a character's appearance and start all over, I could use it for reference, and just make this one minor change to my character's appearance. Well don't expect a character to come out exactly the same even if you follow your video exactly. They did update the creator a few months back, and many have said that it made a difference. My buddy (he had screenshots of all his sliders from his first character) was satisfied with his toon. Removed the beard and found he hated his overly prominent square chin. After the creator was updated, he went back and set all the sliders the same (tweaked the chin thankfully) but said the character looked off. I never saw that big a difference but, I too could tell something was different in the structure of the face. Plus, remember when GTA V went next-gen? It is the faces of many npc's that i would like to see changed for the better. I am on my second character. My short lived first character however was a disaster and i looked like Frankenstein.
